Dan Mullen just wrapped up his first season at Florida by winning 10 games and an impressive New Year’s Six bowl victory over Michigan.

Now his name is reportedly being mentioned for head coaching jobs in the NFL, according to NFL Network Analyst Daniel Jeremiah.

Mullen's not stupid...maybe a little odd, but not stupid.

Mullen hates to recruit you don’t have to in the NFL.

A lot of Mississippi State fans were adamant that Mullen would never leave. Funny to see Florida fans say the same.

As a UGA fan I hope Mullen stays in Gainesville. Dan is good but not too good.

This would be an interesting transition from CFB to the NFL. Mullen would have to change is offensive philosophy. There is no way a QB could last the entire season much less half an NFL season running Mullen's offense in the NFL.

Mullen is a good college coach but would suck in the nfl. His assclown antics on the side line (jumping up and down to pump up the crowd) would not fly in the NFL.

Daniel Mullen might get UF to Atlanta but I’m very confident that he will never win a Conference title while he’s at Florida. I stand by this assessment.

I feel fortunate as an LSU fan that we haven’t had to worry about this for 2 consecutive coaches, and we won’t have to worry for the forseeable future. What a great time to be alive.

In the NFL Mullen won't have to pretend his players aren't getting paid

No they won't, because he can't recruit worth a damn, and college football is all about recruiting.

He can't recruit,is that the reason why Miss State had one of the best defenses in the SEC. And Miss State is so competitive,as a team. Oh,you are talking about rankings, well, results are all that matters.

The author must be smoking crack. Klingsbury? Mullen? Klingsbury is a failure as a college coach. Mullen's system is not a fit for the NFL.

If there is a report, it was written by his agent. No NFL team has an ounce of interest in Mullen. Mullen is an excellent college mind, but he has nothing the NFL wants.

Same thing people claimed about Chip Kelly.
