I made fun of Bert a LOT mainly just because he coaches Arkansas and they make my skin crawl even worse than Bama and Florida. But that being said, I think he at least deserved to be fired with some dignity... I mean something like calling him into the AD's office the following day to break the news privately and personally. Just my two pennies...
