Vanderbilt Fires Coach Derek Mason In His 7th Season

When Kentucky honored Coach Schlarman with the missing man at left guard we got flagged for delay of game. Mason's players all expressed their sorrow to the UK players. Maybe Vandy didn't win many football games, but in my book they were being well coached on how to be first class citizens. I am sorry to see him go. Maybe UK can find a place for him.

Get him on staff immediately. Don't care where you place him, hire him. He is the real deal. Nobody can win at Vanderbilt, that is not on him. He can coach, recruit, and has NFL credentials. If you don't, I promise you, Nick will.

This is a good guy, tough place to win.
