Say lsu wins out, ole miss beats Georgia and Kentucky drops one more. I’m guessing it would be an ole ms vs Kentucky sec champ?

Yeah they both have the head to head against us.

So, you are saying that the team that lost to the other two teams should not go to Atlanta?

So what would happen? The sec would just post the gif and say everyone wins?

That would be a low rating

No. They use tiebreakers. Is this new for you?
quote:
2. Three-Team Tie (or More) for First Place: In the event three or more teams are tied for first place in the Conference standings, the procedure below will be used in descending order.
After the head-to-head competition among the tied teams, if a tiebreaker step produces standings with a clear No. 1 team by itself, that team is selected for the championship game and the remaining teams still in contention revert to the beginning of the applicable tiebreaker procedures (e.g., if there are three tied teams, the No. 1 team is in the championship game and the other two teams go to the first step of the two-team tiebreaker procedures for second place; if there are four teams, the No. 1 team is in the championship game and the other three teams go to the first step of the three-team tiebreaker procedures for second place, etc.). If a tiebreaker step produces standings with two teams tied for No. 1, they are both selected for the championship game. To decide the seeding (home/away) of the two teams in the Conference Championship Game, they will progress through the Two-Team tiebreaker procedures. If the standings produced by any tiebreaker procedure result in a tie at the top that is insufficient for assigning a championship game participant, but includes one or more teams ranked below the tied teams, the tied teams at the top of the standings will revert to the beginning of the tiebreaker procedures and all other teams are eliminated.

Yea maybe so, or I could see it being interesting with fresh blood in that game. I hate to say I wouldn’t mind lsu not getting in that game if we win out

I hope the sec championship game ends without ole miss ever having gone

Going 10-2 and NOT playing in the SEC title game is things dreams are made of
Used to love that game, but now it's a pointless exercise that gives another opportunity for injuries.

I would imagine that most people would be smart enough to figure it out in about 10 seconds.

Just use this. Theres way too many scenarios to try to explain. After you calculate the standings the explanations for ranking are given

3 team tiebreakers aren’t as straightforward as you’d think. UF beat Ole Miss who beat lsu yet if LSU, UF and Ole Miss win out then LSU would play Florida in the SECCG for instance
