Obviously…more games to play. I get it.

But how does this work when they choose who goes to the SECCG when you have multiple teams with 2 losses that have all beaten each other? Is it the CFP ranking?

Right now Tennessee has head to head over Bama and Kentucky. In the event you have 2 teams with the same record that dont play each other the way they use to do it was the highest ranking one in the polls.

It’ll be Georgia vs Alabama

The only runner up contenders now are Tenn, Kentucky, snd Texas

Right now its Tennessee. Kentucky is out because they lost to both Alabama and Tennessee. That would leave Alabama, Texas and Tennessee. Texas lost to Alabama and didn't play Tennessee. Texas is out. Tennessee beat Alabama. They dont use ranking anymore. They have 5 steps and it uses cumalative score of common opponents. Step 6 is to draw the name but it should obviously never get to that.

LINK

This link is a great resource. Predict the outcome of the games and it will spit out all the tiebreaker scenarios and who would go in any given situation. Me personally I'm pulling for Tennessee the rest of the way because I would really prefer to not have to face bama again. That also means that bama is a guaranteed into the playoff with only two losses, but as we saw last year even if they got their third loss against us in that game they would still go anyway so who cares. I just think we would probably have an easier time beating Tennessee then bama for a second time.

I dont see how they go to that next step when the head to heads give it to Tennessee. If all the teams win out and have the same records Bama loses head to head with Tennessee. They would only go past step 1 if head to heads will not solve it and the head to heads give it to Tennessee.

Yea, I don't get the whole "based on conference opponent win percentage" logic. I would think that it's based on win/loss record and then head to head and if that doesn't resolve it then yea, maybe opponent win percentage.
If that is correct, then it should be Tennessee assuming they win out I could easily see LSU upsetting the Vols.
