There is no 1 - 1 replacement for LSU.

Whether the SEC likes it or not, they remove LSU, the SEC becomes a weaker conference
UNC doesn't match LSU in football. UVA doesn't match LSU in football. Clemson, well enough said there. GT doesn't match LSU in football. FSU doesn't match LSU in football, Miami doesn't match LSU in football.
NC State doesn't match LSU in football, men's basketball or baseball. Wake Forest doesn't match LSU in anything. Duke doesn't match LSU in football or baseball.
No current Big 12 school matches LSU. And the SEC isn't getting a Big 10 school. Only Notre Dame would potentially be a 1 - 1 replacement for LSU, but Notre Dame will never leave being Independent until they are forced to, and when that happens it's the Big 10.
So where is this replacement for LSU again? Because I sure as heck don't see one.

May not want to add UNC...they make a shite ton of money in Basketball. The others, yea.

LSU makes more with football.

UNC is the only one that's close, but LSU still brings in more revenue. UNC only surpasses LSU in men's basketball, while LSU blows by UNC in football, women's basketball and baseball. Heck even softball and gymnastics.
And UNC is no shoe-in for the SEC. UNC wants the Big 10. UNC thinks they are better than the SEC. Even if UNC went to the SEC, they would leave for the Big 10 the minute they got an invite. How humiliating would that be for the SEC?

You don't have to have a 1:1 replacement. The obvious one would be a UNC-Duke combination. To make it even, you add a Virginia or a Miami.

I'm not sure the Presidents need one. What the hell did LSU do that we the public are unaware of?

Adding Notre Dame and Miami could be fun.

UNC is perfect.
They don’t need to be on the level of lsu in football. We would still be head and shoulders above the B1G in football product without lsu
Basketball would be greatly improved. As well as all the olympic sports
The problem UNC has had in football is they are the opposite of a school like lsu that has zero in-state competition. There’s too many state of north carolina schools at the P4 level. UNC being the only school in the SEC would dramatically increase their football profile overnight

LSU would join the ACC. And right about 2030 or 2031 Norte Dame will join the ACC.

UNC is perfect and would add the NC market which is larger than LA market. The SEC could kick out LSU just to make their point then add LSU back in a couple of years and bring VA with them, going to 18 schools.
