[embed]Had rosters with only 12 blue chippers, couldn’t recruit, refused to run a passing offense, we only ran the option. This was the years everyone was running Air Raids. The talent rich horn and Sooner had teams with only 12 3 stars.
We literally ran the option every year until his final game with horn, where he decides to pass the ball, win the game, and quit. There was a Spring game McGee passed the ball to T Franks for a 30 yard gain, and the stadium erupted after seeing a forward pass.
His OLs were so bad, Sherman had to fix the lines of scrimmage. We would have been closer to Vandy in talent than a Tennessee. Teams like Kansas State, Mizzou, or Oklahoma State could talent whoop us. He didn't value speed. He rather have a WR bench 400 than run a 4.5.
He only hired friends. Fielded some of the worst defenses in school history. Ruined Reggie McNeal and Stephen McGee, didn’t use them right.
And he sucked everywhere he went after. LaDainian Tomlinson should get all the credit if he gets in.[/embed]
Thats allot of words to say Franchione is still the escape goat and now somehow LaDainian Tomlinson has to carry the blame too which seems like a pretty heavy load for a running back if you ask me.

Ranking SEC head coaching jobs isnt that complicated unless you make it complicated. Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Texas are the top tear. After that you can move allot of them around but acting like there isnt a higharchy is just dumb. Some jobs are higher because thats how rankings work.
And before Tennessee fans start hyphenating take a breath. Tennessee is a grate job, probably a top-six job depending on the day. But some of you rank jobs based on crowd noise and how many people fit in the stadium which is pretty surface level. Money, recruiting, facilities, administration, parking, all that stuff matters. Vanderbilt is obviously last but somebody has to bring up the rear.
After about 8 the whole list gets pretty rank anyway and people start arguing over scraps. Put the top tear where it belongs, throw the middle in whatever order looks right and quit acting like Missouri being 10 instead of 8 is some unpresidented attack on the program. This isnt the electoral college and nobody is getting more votes because they live in a swing state.

I dont understand why everybody has already decided Pete Golding is either gonna be great or a complete disaster. The guy has barely coached a game yet and allot of you are acting like Ole Miss either struck gold or got sold a bag of rocks. Personally I think he deserves a fair shot. You dont throw away a valuable metal just because it needs polished.
Golding has been around the SEC forever, knows defense and knows the program. Thats worth its weight in gold right there. Is he the gold standard yet? Obviously not. But I think he could be a 24 carrot coach if they give him time. People laugh but carrots are good for you and so is continuity.
The real question is whether Ole Miss fans have the patients to let this play out. Half a doesn’t bad games and everybody will start looking for an escape goat. Thats just how this conference works. Personally I’d bank on Golding. Fort Knox didnt get built in a day.

Kalen DeBoer is not on the hot seat and allot of you need to quit hyperventilating. Take a breath. The guy has been at Alabama for five minutes and apparently anything short of going 15-0 means Tuscaloosa is ready to fire him. Thats an unpresidented standard even for Alabama and they’ve had enough governors down there to know better.
Replacing Nick Saban was always gonna be a feudal situation. Everybody thinks they own the throne. DeBoer loses a game and suddenly half a doesn’t posters want to pylon him while the other half are looking for an escape goat. I eluded to this when he was hired and there were signs then too. You dont replace the greatest coach of all time without some growing pains. Thats just common cents and Alabama has plenty of money.

I dont understand why people are acting like Dennis Franchione being on the HOF ballot is some kind of controversy. Iowa’s gonna say it: put him in. Call me corny. Guy won everywhere he went, took over programs nobody wanted and for all intensive purposes had half a doesn’t rebuilding jobs in one career. Thats unpresidented. And this is a school with an actual Bush library.
