LSU/Corndogs reference?

Yes, this was posted as a response and question to the “Something something corndog” thread.
But, I’m genuinely interested in the topic and question, to wit:
I’ve never understood the LSU/corndogs reference.
I’m not an LSU fan.
I’m just an observer from Atlanta, Georgia.
But….
It goes without saying that Louisiana has the overall best original food in the southeastern United States if not the country. It’s world renowned.
Further, LSU and Louisiana have numerous internationally known people throughout American history and not just the current Speaker of the United States House, current House Majority Leader, current United States Supreme Court Justice, plus actors, musicians, AND internationally known athletes like Shaq, Joe Burrow and many other current and former All-Pro NFL stars, Paul Skenes, Livvy Dunne, NBA and WNBA stars, ESPN/ABC and other broadcast people.
From that perspective, exactly what does Alabama, in general, and Auburn/Bama, in particular, have that even comes close to the same caliber of culture and influential people that Louisiana and LSU have?
Please enlighten me.

Originally, I think it was a Nebraska thing by an Oklahoma fan.

Alabama is a very underrated state.

I could have Googled it. But I see it posed mostly by Alabama people.
I would prefer for Alabama people to explain the continuing Corndogs reference, and to set forth their own state and universities comparison vis-a-vis Louisiana and LSU, as set forth in my original post.

Chicken alter, you say?
Hardly.
If Alabama/UA/Auburn are so outstanding in comparison, please explain. TIA
Edit: I should have added that Louisiana has both NFL and NBA teams. My apologies for the oversight.

Besides Emmylou Harris and Riley Green, anyone actually alive?
And I wouldn’t say either of those two country music singers are tops in their profession.

It’s dumb considering Louisiana has the best food of any SEC state. If you get a corn dog at a tailgate it’s only because they won’t give you the good food.

With respect, that’s a thin roster.
And what about food?
Major political leaders besides Gov. George Wallace?
