Anyone else surprised by how competitive Jimbo has already made A&M?

Watching A&M I’m impressed by their physicality, discipline and obviously QB play.

I thought he would get them right, I just didnt think it would happen this quickly.

Not at all. I knew he was a good hire. Not looking forward to dealing with aTm after he gets a couple more recruiting classes. Coach O is the one surprising me this year. He is what Les would be if Les had ever learned clock management.

Agreed, most realistic fans expected jimbo to change the culture.

I think we played 17 FR last year, this years team had some talent and experience for Jimbo to work with.

It’s coach O that has been more surprising.

You’re not surprised that he has them competitive in year 1?

Everyone knew it was a good hire. I just thought it would take a class or 2 to get rolling.

He's done great, as has coach O.

We’ve only played one SEC game, and we got blown out in it, I’d hold off on that competitive comment of yours until three or four weeks from now

And yes I know you’re probably only trolling anyway

Clemson is SEC quality and y’all had them on the ropes.

Stop being so insecure. It’s a compliment.

I am not surprised that they are more disciplined and don't quit like Sumlin's team tended to do at times. I will concede that I was surprised at how close they played Clemson.

You do. The O’Neal kid is good. This upcoming recruiting class is stacked as well. I really like the Neal kid and y’all are gonna love Christian Harris.

No. For some reason people thought MSU was going to compete for second in the west after losing the best coach they've ever had and replacing him with... some guy. But, a&m, who has stockpiled way more talent and brought in a proven coach, was going to suck.

Even then I’m surprised at how fast he’s changed the culture. Kudos to the kids for buying in. Look at Tennessee- they’re kicking kids off the team for refusing to go into the game.

I really am.

And with the toughest schedule in the nation, he’s got them playing very well

I'm not impressed. ATM always plays a little better at the beginning of the season, and then falls apart.
And Clemson is overrated this year

No we didn’t, Dabo started coaching not to lose after he had the lead

I’m not gonna bite. I know based off your post history that you love to troll but the grownups are having a conversation.

exactly.

I was pretty confident aggy would be improved, but I didnt expect it to be this much so soon. You can tell there is a different mentality.

Kind of like Kentucky in basketball? Huge preseason hype that never materializes.

Before this turns into a pissing match- this is a Kentucky fan with the LSU tag for some reason.

I told you Jimbo is a better than good coach who would turn a$m around. I thought he would have to run half the team off and recruit a couple of classes but I was wrong. It seems that most of the players bought into what he is selling.
