It is unclear what medical condition he is dealing with, but he was wheeled off the field in an ambulance, according to a report from The State.

As of Thursday morning, there was no update on his health status, although the Gamecock community has been posting in support of their former star.

Update:

During the broadcast of the South Carolina Gamecocks' game against Missouri, head coach Shane Beamer announced that Connor Shaw was released from the hospital Saturday.

Shaw spent several days at a Greenville hospital after collapsing while coaching his son's football game Wednesday night in Simpsonville.

Connor Shaw was a terrific and exciting QB for South Carolina during his career with the gamecocks. I personally wish him a speedy recovery.
