Remember former Alabama strength coach Scott Cochran, who left Nick Saban after ten years to become Georgia's special teams coordinator? Well, now he's trying to land that Vanderbilt head coaching vacancy...

Josh Pate of 247 shares that Georgia special teams coordinator Scott Cochran, despite having just one year of experience as an on-the-field assistant, plans on making a hard push for the Vanderbilt job.

John Curtis and LSU alum. He's definitely learned from some of the best to do it.

No shot. But can't blame him one bit for trying. Good luck!

Might as well. They could hire Urbane Meyer, and it wouldn't make a difference.

Sure, why not?

Interesting but Vandy should be able to hire someone with actual HC or OC/DC coordinator experience.

It makes more sense to me now. All those years he was on the sideline for every game acting like a roided up cheerleader. It was the perfect cover for him to learn special teams from probably one of the best in the country. Guy is brilliant, anyone else would have been happy making the half million he was to just motivate in a weight room.
