Curtis will have to pitch very well to win.

That's what they've done nearly every game.
Team 1.66 ERA, given up more than 4 runs only twice all season. 4 starters and a reliable bullpen. Hitting is Curtis issue. Bats get hot, watch out.
LHSAA and Geaux Preps power points are the same for every team except Catholic.
Really hoping Catholic is the 1 seed so we don't have the chance of playing them in Baton Rouge. Much rather the opportunity to face them in Sulphur. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Maybe Coach hasn't updated his out of state opponents records on the site.

What a bad take.
Owen Nugent on the mound right now against Chalmette.

I seriously doubt they'd bring him back just before playoffs start. You may get the big sophomore, Schexnaildre, or Stuprich.

Rummel has a first round bye. No reason to sit your Ace two weeks. Needs to stay on the same or similar schedule. That said, he still may not be the guy. Might be a little Johnny Wholestaff and then use Nugent in a scrimmage later this week.

Dufrene and first baseman collided in first inning. Dufrene came back to pitch the second. He was in a 30 pitch count. Leblanc was always the starter for Saturday. Dufrene used for away games, he's ready to go Tuesday.
Got some real thugs there. Fans just assaulted 2 Curtis girls basketball players and their moms after JC beat them in the boy's playoff game tonight. 3 people from Huntington got arrested.

We do a live stream but now you gotta be like a premium member to see it

I was able to watch the Chalmette stream. Typical Curtis game for this season. Just outpitch the other team. We can't hit decent pitching, but our pitching depth is unlike any Curtis has had in recent years. Bullpen has given up like 6 hits and 2 runs all season. Averaging 1.4 runs allowed through 15 games as a team. If we can wear down the starter and/or get to the bullpen we've got a shot. Problem is Catholic League has pitching depth so it's gonna be a different ballgame starting next week.

Now tonight for the first time in my life, I’m going to be at a Chalmette-John Curtis game in any sport. We play tonight at Shaw. They’re 3rd in select and we dropped from 7th to 18th in nonselect with one loss.

And I'm gonna miss the game tonight for work. Kid's a senior on JC. Hate missing it, hopefully someone has one of those Gamechanger live streams.

The Valentin Imperial is the greatest resort we’ve ever been to. Absolute perfection. Thanks to the poster who mentioned it on here last year.

Might have been me, best resort I've ever been too. Ready to go back. Going to Iberostar in May, but only because we're taking the kids.

With regard to baseball they should clean up outfield fence by getting rid of all those tacky playground type advertising sign eyesores.

They cleaned that up considerably last year when they went with the much cleaner all white logos. Looks 1000% better than all the full color ads.
Was in TBFTL that year. So freaking cold, didn't even feel like playing my instrument.

Lack of Harlem Berry

Posted by coopsdad on 12/28/25 at 12:56 pm
Harlem Berry had 3 rushes for 45 yards. First play from scrimmage 35 yards. His second touch wasn't until the next series for 5 yards. And then his 3rd touch in the 2nd quarter was a fumble. Never returned in the game. And that's why Frank Wilson is going to Ole Miss.

48-2 is INSANE. His only 2 losses were in the championship game ?

48-2 in district. Losses to John Curtis and a forfeit to Warren Easton. In 2020 they lost back to back games to Curtis and St Aug. Won every game on the field since then except for the 41-7 Curtis beat down in 2023.

Really thought this was going to have something to do with Pat McAfee. Sorry your computer caught Aids though.
Look, I love Joe and his contribution to LSU just as much as anyone else here, but it's ok to admit he's kinda moved on from us. Joe is tied to O more than he is to LSU and that's ok. I'm sure LSU will always hold a special place in his heart, but I don't think he bleeds purple and gold like Shaq or Jets. He was a hired mercenary just like Skenes, it was all business to them.
I wonder if the Eddie Bonine mentioned in that story is the same Eddie Bonine with LHSAA.
