Ah yes, let's put Texas ahead of the team they lost 2x to despite Texas only returning 43% of production this year, and going 0-2 vs who finished 1st-8th in SEC standings last year.

Snarky response. But still — make that make sense. Texas lost to UGA twice last year. UGA is the SEC champs. But ESPN thinks Texas is better right now.

People who follow CFB do actually remember what happened on the field last year. Apparently ESPN analysts don’t.

South Carolina could be solid. If they are the 10th best team in the league it’s gonna be a helluva year.

Texas returns 9 players, Georgia returns 7. Both are replacing long time QBs with first time starters. Alabama returns 15 players, which is right at what both Texas and Georgia had returning last year, and while we are also replacing a QB with inexperience, our experienced QB was one of the main problems with the teams inconsistency.

Have you ever listened to their coach?

Little surprised Alabama is ranked so high. They are starting a brand new QB, OL has new faces and are unproven, they lost to Vandy and Oklahoma last year and they still have DeBoer as HC.

We brought back 4 of 5 on the o line. We return the highest percentage of starters than every team in CFB. We have a new QB just like practically every other school but ours was on the bench preparing and learning.

We are returning a lot more players than either Texas or Georgia.
