In a recent interview with SI’s Ross Dellenger, Caleb Williams’ father Carl Williams revealed that USC was actually one of three to four finalists for the former Oklahoma QB to land. He says it came down to USC, UCLA and Wisconsin with Ole Miss having some appeal due to Lane Kiffin...
quote:
“Lane Kiffin was fun. I liked Lane,” Carl said, via SI.com. “It was going to be tough for us to go to Mississippi. Other guys were trying to put on a show. ‘You can change the trajectory of our program!’ Dude, we don’t care about your trajectory, the school colors and buildings. It’s who can get this kid ready for the NFL.”

Lol. Kiffin is one of the best offensive minds and QB whisperers in the country. Lincoln vs Kiffin with equal talent and Kiffin wins every game. Even with a slight talent deficiency, Kiffin schemes better and wins the majority.

Sounds like he’s teaching his son great values and perspective. The cycle continues

He won’t even break Baker Mayfield’s records at the next level, much less Tom Brady’s

You are right. He has 2 good games and then Big 12 DCs figured him out and his stats and OU furtunes went south from there.

Dear Mr. Williams: We dont care about your sons trajectory. Neither does USC. They care about the schools colors, building and its trajectory. One has been prominent for decades and the other is a temporary blip on the radar. Get some perspective and know your role
