ESPN's Chris Low reported Friday that Alabama defensive coordinator Pete Golding is leaving the Crimson Tide coaching staff to be the new defensive coordinator at Ole Miss under Lane Kiffin.

The 38-year-old coach has been Alabama's DC since 2018.

Golding will replace Chris Partridge, who was promoted to defensive play caller in 2022.

I wonder if the appeal is that when Lane leaves Golding thinks he’s the next HC at Ole Miss. No chance that happens at Bama when Saban strokes out.

Lane is way over the curve at Ole Miss. Might leapfrog Kelly at LSU for second place in the SEC West division. ;)
