Per VUcommodores.com: Commodore center fielder Johnny Norwood hit a dramatic eighth-inning home run and propelled Vanderbilt to its first men's national championship with a 3-2 victory over Virginia Monday night in a winner-take-all contest at TD Ameritrade Park in the College World Series.

Anchor down 'dores! Great accomplishment for vandy and a great win for the league. After Auburn's embarrassment of our esteemed league in the football national championship, now it is us that gets to sit back, point, and laugh at the ACC; as they approach 6 decades without a title in baseball.

Way to geaux SEC!!!
Now let's fix the dead ball issue and liven up the bats again a bit and make college baseball a bit more of an offensive game again. We need more scoring.
