Vanderbilt pulled off an unbelievable 35-31 comeback victory over NC State on Saturday in Nashville, scoring a game-winning touchdown on a bizarre fumble recovery in the final seconds.
Trailing 31-28, the Commodores appeared headed for their first loss of the season after quarterback Jared Curtis threw an interception late in the fourth quarter.
However, NC State quarterback CJ Bailey fumbled in his own end zone while attempting to run out the clock, allowing Vanderbilt's Cayden Daniels to recover the ball for the game-winning touchdown.
Vanderbilt trailed 17-0 in the first half and 24-7 in the third quarter before rallying behind Curtis, who finished with 277 passing yards and three touchdowns in his first career start.
