I just don't see them putting in a 10-2 UGA over any 11-1 team or conference champion.

Agreed. We have the number 1 SOS, and I’d argue if you have to lose a second one, it’s this week. Call me crazy but I’d still rather bypass the SEC championship game where you KNOW it’s gonna be a tough opponent, and instead get to host a first round playoff game as a tune up.

I heard the same kind of fear-mongering last year, then we mopped the floor with them. I realize that they have supposedly upgraded their talent, but does anyone REALLY think Ole Missy has the same level of talent that we do across the board?
My prediction? This team seems to play with a purpose when they are getting doubted. I've heard ALOT of doubting this week. But our D is good. When they wanna be, they're great. They are getting healthier by the week. I got a feeling Beck fixes the int thing this week as well....

The “fear mongering” you read is the lack of confidence in Beck so if he plays well and the D continues as they have Dawgs win both.

Heard someone from one of the books in Vegas today say that Georgia -2.5 is the most common bet they have taken out of any team all week. That doesn't sound like doubt to me.

Of the teams that actually have a defense with a pulse, OM only cracked 30 pts against Arky…and Arky is all over the place. If we can manage the OM front 7 we’ll do fine and score I. The 30’s we’ll do fine.

If just about all of the money during the week comes in on one team but the line doesn't budge, that typically means that Vegas knows something and the team with all the money on them is screwed.

I have no idea what to expect but based on what we have seen so far our offense will continue to struggle while our defense will have their hands full because they will be on the field most of the time.
I hope we see a transformation at home but the data so far doesn't inspire confidence.
I will tell you one thing: the Tennessee fans on the Rant are confident that they are going to blow us away.

Heupel sucks on the road and Nico is not that good.
I think UGA smothers Tennessee at home. Ugly low scoring affair like 23-10 but the score is closer than it looks on the field.

One thing that gives me a slight sliver of hope going forward this season is that the rest of our games are at home. We've played clemson, kentucky, bama, texas, florida, and ole miss all away from Athens. don't ask me how that schedule got green lit beucase it was insane in the summer and it's just as insane now in hindsight.
We've played exactly 3 home games here as of early/mid November, none of which were against an opponent that would be considered better than mediocre. My HOPE is that a true big time game, against a top 5 opponent, at night, with a playoff chance on the line, will bring out the best in our fans and team.

Same team needed OT to beat a terrible UF team at home.

Yep, and the truth probably is that most of the Tennessee fans are maybe 1 or 2 guys and a bunch of alters that seem to be chiming in the same key.

Hell, if I were them, I'd be confident too. Their front seven is just as good if not better than Ole Miss, and our offensive line was absolutely shellshocked at what they saw Saturday.
Given how bad our offense is, we have to hold them to 17 points or fewer to have a real shot to win.
