No doubt the coaching wasn't exactly top shelf for Tally but we were really lacking in talent in those years (88-90)

Dooley didn't leave much talent on the roster for Goff plus this was around the Jan Kemp era...we were flunking out players left and right and also had a much harder time getting top prospects in school.

Here's our 1990 QB's & their totals...

Greg Talley...72 of 123...871 yds...4 TD's...5 Int's...

Preston Jones...33 of 73... 363 yds... 1 TD... 7 Int's...

Joe Dupree...10 of 41... 202 yds... 1 TD... 1 Int...

Can't believe we went 4 - 7 in '90...

Greg Talley was BY FAR the worst qb I've ever seen at Georgia. Maybe the coaching and the team sucked, but he led all suckers. I once saw him try to throw a hail mary and the ball literally went about 25 yds, helicoptering the whole time. Sorry Peter Buck, he was just terrible.

Yeah, he was kind of painful to watch.

I don't give a rat's rear end. I was present for the UT debacle in 2006. Nuff said. It's JT3, hands down.

So you saw him throw a bad pass one time?

He didn't have a great arm, but it was not too bad and he was accurate. He was not recruited to throw 30 balls a game... I promise you, we were so out coached it was horrible... Everyone knew what we were doing... Even more than we did...

The Kemp thing was not that big at that point. Andre Hastings played Wr in the pros for a long time. Shannon Mitchell and Art Marshal also played pro ball. Mack Strong played FB in the pros for many years. Kevin Maxwell was also a real good football player. Lamont Tellis would have done more in the pros if he I'd not get hurt. Bernie Williams was a great football player, but had some issues. Of course, garrison Hearst was awesome and Larry Ware was also a helluva football player.

Bottom line is those years, too much of the team was out of control and the coaching changed so much from year to year that there was no continuity... Plus, everyone was reading our mail... Greg threw an ok ball... I promise you... He would have given half of his perfect hair to play for Bobo in 2009...

Fine. Greg Talley wasn't THE worst. But he's in the conversation. I was in school at UGA at the time so I did see all his home games in person. I don't remember being impressed with him at any point. Either way, we sucked then. Good thing there was alcohol.

Joe Cox is the worst that I have seen/ hope to ever see. He would completely self destruct during any moment that was important throughout the course of the game. JTIII was bad but not nearly as terrible as Cox

JTIII was worse to me. What was frustrating is everyone knew Stafford was better, even as a freshman.

He doesn't deserve a vote. His 99 and 98 seasons were sick.

If Murray had not broken his leg his Senior year of HS, he probably should have been playing as a Freshmen instead of Cox.

Murray didn't play because of his shoulder not because of his acl tear. He wasn't use to throwing that many balls every day in practice and essentially wore out his arm.

Tereshinski was the worst I've seen. The 2005 Florida game was there for the taking, but the best play he made was catching a TD pass from Thomas Brown. He didn't even play well vs WKU in 2006.

Carter was badass til he started hittin' the bong and Donnan began covering for him in his junior season by benching him with a "thumb injury". Most likely sustained during the lighting of the bong.

QC was nowhere close to being the worst QB at UGA. If he'd a kept his nose clean, he might have been in the conversation for being one of our best.
