Young guys stepping up and playing hard when seniors took a pass? Showing up to work your arse off?

Maybe we forged some future leaders tonight.

I hope so. We severely lacked leadership this year imo. Outside of Reed and Fromm...not sure we had anyone else

I hope. I still think we need to hire a passing game coordinator like LSU.

It can be. At the very least it gave the guys a taste of how focus and motivation can overcome some pretty severe deficits. Too, it leaves some optimism in the locker room for the Spring and Summer when the new guys get there.

I just hope any guys who were suspended academically or for behavior or whatever watched and saw what they were missing. This team can be so good.

It’s a hell of a note and a huge sign when CKS said this was the FIRST time he’s had a team that NOBODY was late for or missed a team meal, meeting, bus, or practice. 13 leaders MIA, and the young bucks showed up and showed out.

I damn sure hope that’s a sign of what’s to come. The tone has been set for 2020 and I can’t wait for August.

Kirby sounded like a man with a plan tonight.

The future is bright, imo.

I have to admit. After the way we finished out the season and how we did in the sugar bowl last year and how so many players were sitting out I was prepared to rip the coaches, Fromm, and everyone else after another disappointment.

I was wrong. Flat out wrong.

These guys came out ready to play and I am excited about next year. Our defense plays so fricking sound and the offense has so much room to improve. Pickens is a man and Zues will put it together. No way we don’t win the east again if Fromm returns ( and I have been hard on him but expectations are sky high)

2020 dawgs are gonna feast

Impossible to know until next season, and generally I tend to think bowl games don’t have much impact either way into the trajectory of the following season on the field.

The real key to a turn around for us will be whether we make the needed staff and philosophy changes on offense. Need a new OC and an aggressive, modern attack.

Don’t pretend you didn’t also have concerns coming into tonight. I was just man enough to express them before the game then come back and admit I was wrong.

I'm just glad the program will have momentum from a big win heading into next season.

Had Georgia laid another egg and gotten embarrassed for a second year in a row, like most people expected, it would have been alarming. Them coming out and taking care of business despite missing guys was a positive sign.

I'm going to spend the off-season believing we have taken a step forward. Players and coaches. This is a much better ending than last year's, for damned sure.

And I would love to see some continuity with our staff.

We've lost our 3 best assistants in the last year.Lets
sign up Lanning and Luke for a while and tweak the offense.

Not really. Well... the depth was a bit of a concern but I knew we were loaded with talent and should win. The defense was solid and the O did enough. I thought the O-Line played well all things considered too.

If Fromm leaves, we could be fricked unless he’s replaced with a better player via grad transfer. I thought he had a rough year but without him, it could have also been 2-3 losses. If Fromm leaves, we could be in trouble.

We definitely needed something positive to finish off the season. With so many players out for the Sugar Bowl, there were legit questions by the fans and the media about the cohesiveness of our team. Hopefully a good win solidifies our status with some of these high level recruits.
