All the little bitches like you who are Richt haters must have RA'd my thread about firing Richt and hiring Spurrier and got it deleted.
Oh, I'm so upset.

I didn't read that thread, so I have no comment on it.
Ftr, I am not a richt hater or lover. He gets what he deserves, And it all depends on how well his team does.

Players doing wrong or right is ultimately the coaches responsibility. Coaches get fired when their players fail and get extensions when their players do well.
The powers that be are obviously not as ignorant as you and can determine when something is the player's fault and not the coach's fault.

Unless it's a personal issue like arrests, or compliance issue like cheating, nearly every decision on coaching tenures is based on success or failures of players. That's how it works in the world of football.

So are you saying the last straw to wanting Richt to remain our coach is that Davis made the mistake of taking his eye off the ball?

Ut game is just one straw in a full season and more of straws. Donnan got fired for his players screwing up too much, while He got hired because his players did well. That's how it works in Cfb.

donnan got fired because his ceiling was 9 wins a year and it was obvious he'd never make us consistently challenge for anything, in addition to losing to our biggest rival 3 years in a row.
I assure you if we were going 11-1 every season the players drug habits wouldn't have mattered that much.

By screwing up too much, I am meaning on the field.

Quincy. Carter.
Ya'll remember this golden oldie? Joker threw 5 picks that day, 2 of which were to USCe's Defensive End.
Quincy's PICK 5 vs USCe

I remember it well. The first big choke of my student life at Uga. But some would say qc wasn't coached to do that, so the coach shouldnt have been held responsible for it.

CHD still exists? He'll outlast every coach since Dooley.

of course quincy wasn't coached to throw picks, but after it was quite evident he was going to throw the game away a competent coach would/should have made the call to bench him which donnan never would. For some reason donnan hitched his coaching wagon to quincy. Granted in 98 QC hit the scene hard but donnan basically decided we were going to ride or die with him NO MATTER WHAT, coke use and interceptions included.
We lost a 2 year starting QB to Oklahoma and a 2 year QB for Auburn because of it.

Quincy Carter = Slip Screen U. Great high school QB, better than average CFB QB. That's about it. Dude had a serious partying problem at UGA which kept going into the NFL. And he couldn't read a defense to save his life. And he lost to Tech. Major frown. :banghead:

Come on, now. Richt is responsible for Michel fumbling and a pass that is dropped? Coaches get fired when they continuously have poor years. Richt does not. He continuously wins 10 games. Coaches do NOT get fired for winning 10 games a year.

This is certainly true, but people keep forgetting that the 12th cupcake game was added during Richt's tenure. People always forget this. If Donnan averaged 9 wins per season, that is almost equivalent to ten wins today. We should really compare the average amount of losses. Anybody have that data?
Edit:
Average losses per year:
Donnan: 3.8
Richt: 3.2
Richt average losses 2010-2014 (last 5 years): 4.2
So Richt is averaging more losses per season the past 5 years then Donnan's only 5 years....interesting.

He lost 3.8 games per year. His last two years he only won 8 games, and lost to Tech 3 times in a row. I think if Richt does that these next two years, he would be gone after that.

Fine. Maybe if Richt gets fired we can get Donnan back, since you think he is as good a coach as Richt. Good luck with him.
