You guys really think we are going to get a Jalen hurts level grad transfer ?

Assume it is Bennett or Beck

Well, if it's those two then it'll be Bennett IMO and 9-3 seems realistic. Almost optimistic.

What’s the status of the potential graduate transfers out there? Any of them worth a flip? Why is that not an option being discussed?

It is discussed fwiw. D'Eriq King said hes staying at Houston but I'll believe it when I see it. Chase Brice could potentially leave Clemson.

Others:
KJ Costello at Stanford
Jamie Newman at Wake Forest

I am sure I am forgetting someone.

I agree, and do believe the WRs played a big role in our problems...along with the OC. That said, Fromm has to shoulder some of the blame, too. He wasn't as accurate as he has been in the past. That can be blamed on a lot of things, including poor route running, lack of separation by WRs, some type of physical problems or whatever. But there was a lot of blame to go around and all of those areas would need to shoulder their share of the blame.
Blame Fromm, too, if you'd like, but my point is that whatever Fromm did this season, he protected the ball very well, and other QBs likely wouldn't have, which would have just made things worse for us.

11-1 should be the expectation.

Whether Fromm comes back or not, we have 1 guaranteed loss @Bama and then 11 winnable games.

Well, guess there's no point in even taking the fricking trip, huh? May as well save the gas.

We will rightly be the underdogs in that game but to call it a guaranteed loss is simply stupid.

11-1 is realistic and expected at a minimum every year from here on out under Smart.

By all means, I am not blaming Fromm for the majority of our problems. You get a better OC calling better plays, a more experienced WR corps and Fromm would have had a season similar to last year and maybe the year before. I was merely poitning out that some of the problems could be left at his door, too. I really like Fromm, but he was not as accurate as he had been in years past.

Even those problems could be traced somewhat back to the QB Coach (Who was our OC, too) Any mechanics issues should have been corrected by the QB coach.

So, no, I wasn't meaning to lay the problems at Fromm's feet. Merely saying that he had a part in the problems.

Tough question as to not look negadawg.

With qb an almost complete unknown, the bama game away, UF should be a bit better and has a favorable home schedule , AU the same or better but moved up in the schedule, and the rest same or down..

I would have to currently say a realistic outcome is still 1-2 losses. I think we avoid the USCe melt down but lose at least one or maybe two of our big 3. The east comes down to Jacksonville again. With them having LSU (less qb) and Ole Miss while we get AU (home) and Bama (away). With both teams having their SECw games prior to WLOCP.

It is absolutely realistic..

Do you think fans at Bama, tOSU, and Clemson; expects anything less than a div title and less than 1 loss annually.

And that’s where UGA recruits at and is who we compare ourselves to.

Georgia is the #1 state in Div 1 talent per capita in the US
Georgia is #4 state in total amounts of div 1 recruits annually
UGA is finishing its 4th straight top 3 class.

UGA has misses the playoffs by 1 spot the last 2 years.
UGA has become a top 5 team, and should expect to stay there.

1 regular season blemish is acceptable most years. With the talent UGA has returning KS should have a staff that can get any QB ready to manage the team to wins.

Freshmen qb is good for 1-2 losses, it’s almost a given.

Fromm stays is Natty or bust

Fromm leaves is 9-3 win our bowl to go 10-3 and 2021 becomes our next best shot

That’s realistic I think.

9-3 to 10-2 without Fromm... If it gets real bad, 4 losses are in play.

With Fromm 11-1 to 12-0.

With Fromm
Jan 1, Sugar Bowl-1.(13-0)Clemson vs 4.(12-1)Georgia

Without Fromm, assuming Costello/Brice
Jan 2, Orange Bowl-(11-2)Georgia vs (10-3)North Carolina

Im bored at work, so I just guessed on the rest of the major bowls for next year.

with Fromm
Sugar-1.Clemson vs 4.Georgia
Rose-2.Penn State vs 3.Alabama

Orange-North Carolina vs Ohio State
Peach-Florida vs Notre Dame
Cotton-Oklahoma State vs Boise State
Fiesta-USC vs Oklahoma

Without Fromm
Sugar-1.Alabama vs 4.Ohio State
Rose-2.Clemson vs 3.Penn State

Orange-North Carolina vs Georgia
Peach-Florida vs Notre Dame
Cotton-Oklahoma State vs Boise State
Fiesta-USC vs Oklahoma

Costello/Brice can and probably will be pretty good for Georgia in 2020, but I think a senior Fromm makes the difference and beats Bama once in 2020.

Well whoever it is will be a game manager their first year. Fromm did that this year with no WRs so I don’t see why we couldn’t at least replicate this year with better WRs.

Per participent is a much better metric but Ga isn't first in this category.Doesnt
really matter anyway IMO. I'd rather be in state that produces alot of talent than
not.

Kirby seems to be recruiting all over the country anyway but I don't like us signing
only 2 outta the top 20 prospects in state
this year.Clemson,Auburn and UT are having
a field day.I wish these kids would sign with SECW schools or other ACC schools if they don't sign with us.
