One of the three QBs transfers in the spring. I think it will be Beck. I see Stockton winning the position with Bobo. Could Beck transfer and have remaining playing time at another school?

Why would that worry you?

Nothing, I trust Kirby completely....

Beck will be our starter.

I had Gunner winning the job prior to Monk leaving anyway.

Kirby has been a HC for 7 seasons. Has 3 national championship appearances and has won 2. I'm not sure anyone on this board is qualified to question a decision he makes. Bobo may or may not work out at UGA, but Kirby believes he can get the job done.

What given what we’ve seen and know would lead you to believe Stockton will beat out Beck?

Beck is the dude… He’s perfect for Bobo. Beck is similar to Mason but a much stronger arm.

They are nothing alike.

That isn't a knock on Beck. Or on Mason.

I'd be fine if Beck wins the job.
But he needs to win it.

..is that our defense could get worn out being on the field so much with how quickly we will be scoring on every drive

It’s on, sons. Just when you think it isn’t possible for this ride to get better, the Bobo plan gets engaged without hesitation or apology .

This is real . And awesome

Man... I really don't like this hire. Getting PTSD from the Richt underachieving days. His offensive had ups and downs and definitely not as innovative as Monken. I trust Kirby at the end so let's see.

I think Beck is the most game ready, and I am a fan of the kid. He looked really sharp throwing the ball in limited action this season, and even showed decent wheels. If Stockton wins the job away from Beck, then I suspect that Stockton is indeed “that guy”. I don’t don’t think BVG ever sees meaningful snaps at UGA. He will have to transfer (possibly to G5 or FCS) in order to have a situation that allows him to look good.

99 percent of Georgia fans didn't like the offensive line coach hire, so....

Holy redshirt sophomore, batman.
Wow

I'm guessing that you've been to a lot of practices with the freshman?

He should be the most ready. He signed in the 2020 class. This is his 4th year on campus. There is only one more level of ready that he could be.

He has 3 fumbles in 12 rush attempts.
There is a legitimate question as to the "it factor" for Carson.

I'm happy that there will be competition. And I expect Beck to win it. That means that he has earned the coaches trust to protect the football.
2 fumbles in 7 carries for 2022 was not good.

I’ve never been high on BVG. Going back to high school when the board was slobbering all over him. He has a big arm and is somewhat mobile, but I think the low classification he played in high school made him look better than he actually is. I watched him play Rabun Co. and he threw 3 really bad picks…like very obviously all on him. Bad reads, trusting his arm too much and really bad throws. In the extremely limited chances he has had to see the field at UGA, he has looked lost.

Most NFL prospect QBs should be judged on their level of high school play.

I get it.
