Attack their corners. Feed Brock. More designed runs with Stetson.

The WR screen to Ladd for the TD was executed perfectly. Started with a couple of deep passes that resulted in PI opened everything for that play.

Stet has to be willing to rush the most he's ever used to. Pickens needs to be off the snap count. He caught a deep pass and they stopped going to him like he was finished for the day

Have to find consistency with the run game. Mac, Zeus, and Cook all three guys can hurt them in check downs.

when our passing play breaks down, and Stet is scrambling for his life, just throw it away !!!

It would be nice if Kirby utilized Stetson’s mobility and speed with some designed QB runs when Bama is in man. Send your TEs and Receivers on “go routes” where the defenders hopefully turn their backs and Stetson could gash up the middle of the field with his speed.

If Bama plays zone, I would utilize Cook out of the backfield running delay routes so he can see where the openings in the zone are and exploit running across the face of the linebackers who will be paying more attention to Bowers and the other TEs over the middle. I would also like to see more throws over the top to burton, Mitchell and Ladd. (Pickens if he is able)

Bama will try to takeaway Bowers so hopefully Monken has planned to use Bowers to draw safeties towards him allowing more space for the other receivers and TEs to operate giving Stetson good targets.

I would also find a way to get Ladd and Cook in the backfield at the same time with both of them running short intermediate routes so Stetson has a hot read of Bama blitzes.

How far downfield are you allowed to do that if it is a pass play? 3 yds?

As physical as he is, and as much 12 and 13 personnel (2 or 3 TE's) we've ran this year, I have to wonder if there isn't some shake and bake in the works to sneak Pickens into a TE spot in a formation to get a LB on him.

We 100% have to scout ourselves and punish Bama for cheating on our tendencies. Bama did a lot of pressure packages with a robber on our hot routes. We can't throw to the robber anymore! Monken will fix this imo.

Donnan was saying today that Pickens' week of practice was hampered because of Covid shite, and should be more involved this game. Hope he has a great game...

This is where I get frustrated with Stubborn Kirby. I don't give a shite how much practice Picken's missed with COVID. He is our most dynamic playmaker and a horrible matchup for everyone. If he can play he should play, and play a lot.

Excellent call and you know Saban will attempt this again.

Gonna be a interesting cat&mouse with Monkon and Saban.Bama's gonna try to prevent us from attacking the corners of the defense (like we did against UM) and pinch us towards the middle of the field...somewhat of a danger zone for Stetson.

On defense we gotta win 3rd down and turnover battle or at least even it out.

ETA Change the defensive signals again.Something was up with their almost perfect anticipation of our blitzes and busted coverages last game

I’d like to see us up 35-0 at halftime so I can relax the rest of the game.

Limit fricking turnovers. No picks from Stetson.

Win up front. Whip their arse run blocking and protect Stetson giving him plenty of time.

James Cook should get 5 carries to every other back’s 1. Kenny Mc is starting to come on strong lately but Cook is head and shoulders are best back this year. Zeus should NEVER run outside of the tackles. He is a non-factor anywhere in space.

Score TDs. Can’t beat Bama kicking FGs. So make the most of every trip to the red zone.

Get Pickens more receptions.

Run the normal offense.
Heavy motion. Cook when guarded by a linebacker. Use the zone beaters and man beaters.

But dont be afraid to incorporate jump balls or 50/50 to Pickens, Washington, or Bowers if things get rough. Those are "get out of jail free" plays and are great options against all out blitzes (particularly on 3rd down).

At the very least he needs to be on the field in formation for 70% of offensive snaps, and every single 3rd down snap, whether he touches the ball or not. The defense forced into accounting for him, and Bowers, and Washington, and Pickens, and Stet's legs, makes it impossible for them to "key in" on any one playmaker.

If we just had the TE's to exploit this. Especially a 6"8' guy with hands.....

Not the TE's I'm worried about.

You wanna guess where 4 of the
5 interceptions were thrown vs Bama the last 2 times we played? (the almost pick 6 as well BTW)

One of those was because Bowers stopped mid-route after the ball was already thrown

I’d love to line up in 2 TE sets and let Darnell have the game of his career. They focus on BB and there shouldn’t be a guy on the field that could guard him.

Not necessarily a game plan adjustment, but the turnovers have to be eliminated. Particularly turnovers at or within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage.

I’m much more ok with a pick on a deep shot. That’s part of playing threatening offensive football.

I was about as pissed at the way that defense played as I've ever been. And, I blame Kirby for that.
