Some of you all are acting like the red jerseys and silver britches were delivered by God and must never be changed. However UGA's official colors are red and black and we have worn a variety of uniform combinations over the years, including combinations of black pants, red pants, white pants, and silver...along with the red, white, and black jersies. It's not a fashion show...it's change over time (all involving school colors...except...ahem...silver) but it's also mixing it up once in a while, for fun.

I'm not one of those people fwiw, I like the black jerseys.

I agree about the black jerseys. Not this week. I say keep 'em for Auburn at home every other year.
Personally, if you want to play the "uniform as mental game," then we should opt to wear white at home, and leave LSU to the purple & gold. Don't the corndogs hate their purple jerseys?

I like the blacks too. The problem is we have to make the black jerseys "a thing." "We're having a blackout. Everyone wear black. Tell your sister, tell your friend." Just let them wear the black jerseys for a game every now and again, and don't let me in on it.

Exactly. Who gives af about what Saban is doing every minute of every day. We're not Alabama and we shouldn't strive to be them except for in the win category. Let's be our own program and not be so obsessed with how he runs his ship.

C'mon man...there are 30 years of pics there that show almost no change to the basic uniform other than minor details. I wouldn't suggest this link as evidence of all the uniform changes that have happened.

There is something to be said about tradition and we should NEVER bring back the black jerseys. We are UGA god dammit. Not some flashy west coast team that needs to change its clothes when big teams come to play in Athens.
Go ask Saban if he ever plans on changing UA's jerseys?

I'd like to see them have the team come out for warm ups in red and when they go back into the locker room for the last time before the game surprise the team with the black jerseys.
THAT would be great! Can you imagine the crowd reaction and the players reaction when they came out of the locker room to start the game?
Just not this week as mentioned several times.

It has nothing to do with Saban. It's tradition man. The greatest coast in college football with the greatest team in college football doesn't change their jersey because of this same tradition.
God knows Saban has earned the right to have them dress up in any color he wants and yet he doesn't.
We are UGA. We should't need gimmicks like outfit changes to get the players/fans fired up.
