What is the most depressing day(s) of your life sportswise

Yesterday was up there, maybe tops.
For me its rivaled by Sugar bowl losses in 81 and 82. Maybe the Sugar bowl loss to Pittsburgh in 76(I think) I was just a kid, but already a huge Dawg fan. 95 WS loss after the braves were up 2 games to none over the Yankees and a blew the big lead in the 3rd game. Braves let us down in Oct so many times that became routine though. The day I found out Herschel was leaving college to go to the USFL was one of the worst days of my life as a sports fan. Not sports related but the day I found out Elton John was gay, also a bad day.
I'm sure many will say the day we lost Dale Sr.

This and 2012 SECCG. Nothing else even comes remotely close.

2012 SECCG and the 1991 World Series final game. Both heart breaking.

2012 SEC championship game. A part of my soul died that day.
Also September 29 2004. The day the Montreal Expos died. I have only barely kept up with baseball since.
Yesterday was great for me. But then again I'm not a Falcons fan. I am a Green Bay fan and I'll admit am glad the team that beat my team in the playoffs did not win the super bowl.

I stopped feeling all my feelings that day.
I can't say that yesterday comes close to the seccg, though, as annoying as it was.
I'm gonna have to throw 2009 Wimbledon in the mix.

SECCG v Bama of course
The TE drop vs UF (cost us a MNC)
Jasper phantom fumble because it showed just how far the football gods were willing to go to punish Georgia.
Honorable mention: any game Penn Wagers reff'd

This is the right answer. I was a pre-adolescent in 1980 but remember it and can't wait for another.
I'm surrounded by Pats fans today so it's already difficult.
Brady did give a serious shout-out to MM during a press conference, something like "this win came down to Malcolm making a clutch play."
(Looking for a silver lining)

October 28, 1991 - day after game 7 of the '91 World Series. I was 10 years old and it hurt like a bitch - don't think anything compares to immature sports fan hurt.

Yesterday, not even the 2012 SECCG was as painful as last night. We didn't blow the biggest lead in SECCG history, we didn't lose in the first overtime game in SECCG history, we've won SEC titles before.

As much as I love the Dawgs, I think this may be right. I can't get control of my feels yet for a full assessment

This. Both of these were coaching blunders that lost us the game. 2012, AM was running down the field and all of us were saying "spike it" but no, we hurried a play instead of running our best play.
Yesterday, We were in FG range and we all said "run, run, kick the FG", they passed and the rest is history.
For as much time as they put into this, coaches can be REALLY stupid at the end of ball games. Casual fans know what to do better than these high dollar coaches.

Such arrogant play calling.
Win the fricking game.

Yesterday, by far.
In 1991 everyone was just happy the Braves were there.
In 2012, I never really felt like we were going to win that game. Despite how close we actually made it.
Yesterday, we had the game won. It was over. All we had to do was run the damn ball. And we pissed it away in classic Falcons form. I still love my Falcons but they have crushed my heart. It will take a long time to get over this one.

A lot of the ones listed but the ones I saw in person...
Dan Marino to John Y. Brown in '82 Sugar Bowl (wouldn't have won us the MNC but was devastating)
Game 4 of '96 Worlds series, Braves up 2 games to 1 & leading 6-3 in top of 8th Jim Leyritz came offa the bench & hit a 3 run homer off of Wholers to tie it & won in the 10th. Braves lost the series 4 games to 2...
UGA vs UF '93... Time out game, nuff said...
UGA vs UF '02... The Terrance Edwards drop game...Kept us outta the BCSNCG game...
'12 SECCG....
just a few...
