Awful dude, planted mid April, cold weather, too much rain etc...
Yield was not even half of normal, eggplants we're the only thing that did shite, cukes and maters sucked arse, beans, squash and zucchini bloomed but didn't make nothing. No bees this year to pollinate...
Everything ripped out but peppers, gonna try snap peas, broccoli and several types of greens for the fall.
Seems everyone has had the same luck as me over here on the west side of town....FML

Is broccoli a fall thing?
Put in two cucumber plants and they took over half the garden. Damn things felt like mad scientist experiment gone wrong. Got a bunch of 9 and 12 inch bastards overnight. My okra is just staring to kick into gear. Same with my grape tomatoes.
My peppers have been slow as hell and my watermelon is pitiful. Grew some broccoli Romano, took off early from seed (indoor lamp) then stayed at about 2 inches for about a month. Just starting to grow the past two weeks but I think the constant rain has just about done them in.
Did you grow the short black ones or the long purple ones? I did the long purple eggplants and they are just now getting to harvest after a slow start.

I grow the black beauty's (what you get in store). I've grown the Ichibans (long purple ones) before but the Mrs. likes the others for frying, freezing and eggplant parmesan(she's from Jersey).
Broccoli, cauliflower, sugar peas and most greens are spring/fall producers, they abhor hot weather they'll flower and bolt to seed in hot weather...

I like the long purple ones for stir fry
I like the traditional black one for Italian and cajun dishes (I'm 1/2 Italian)
What part of Jersey is she from? What kind of olive oil does she like?
What is the season for GC and SC peaches? Got some 2 weeks ago from local stand but want to aim for the last of the season and get a few baskets to can for the winter and holidays.
