Understanding the Monken offense Bobo has inherited and is running

This offense uses formations, shifts and motion to create changes in reads for defenses. It also helps the QB understand the coverage as the defenders move or not move with the motion. It also uses a lot of play action. Play action gives the passing team an advantage as the defense, especially LBs have to respect the run.. This is built off running between the tackles. If you can run between the tackles, it opens up the offensive options. It also slows the pass rush. It also dictates to an extent what the defense does.
So, that is why we “run up the middle”. Now and when Monken was here and the same as a lot of pro and college teams do with their version of this offense. If you can get 3-4 yards consistently on this type run, everything else works. It is why you want to establish this in the game. It also has a cumulative affect on the defense.
So, if you find yourself bitching about your favorite ballclub running up the middle… now you know why.

Do you think Gunner Stockton will line up at the tailback position at all this year?

This fanbase loves swinging back and forth between "run the damn ball!" and "Why are we running the damn ball?"

these are the mouthbreathers that decided back in the spring when the bobo hire was announced that he sucked and they're going to shite talk him and nothing actaully matters other than the fact that whatever play he called should've been something else.

The Braintrust doesn’t even want to discuss this, huh?

They've made up their minds. Don't confuse them with facts.

They're talking with their downvotes it seems. But I guess they can't stop watching Paw Patrol and Bluey long enough to take the time to hop in and talk ITT.

All fanbases have idiots that swing from one xtreme to the next with every play. That's not unique to us.
What does seem to be unique to us is having a guy who was a:
1)former QB for us that led us to one of the best seasons we'd had in decades [at the time] including 2 uber-memorable wins over hated rivals, 2) Former OC for us who led record-shattering offenses that put up school records not once but multiple times at the tail end of his tenure,
3) former P5 HC and OC at multiple SEC programs with a boatload of big boy football experience
4) sidekick for the best OC we've ever had and learned his system last year and knows the system and our personnel intimately
...yet decided the moment he was hired to hate his guts. For some of these people there is literally nothign that will make them happy with Bobo because 1) they think wearing hats that say run the damn ball bobo are hilarious and 2) they remember the like 3 times over the course of the worst season we've had in decades where we had shite for personnel and ran an underszied RB into the line on 3rd and long. Buddy they woudl rather hang onto that onto their deathbed rather than look at the present.

So, basically, they are cünts. I am giving them a unique opportunity to get uncünted, but instead of talking football, they down vote. This says a lot.
Granted, a lot of them still secretly hate the QB that likely will go down as one of the best in our history and helped lead us to 2 Natties… it’s all very fascinating.

His numbers from his 1st tenure speak for themselves, yet they still act like he was Brian Schottenheimer. How do some people not realize that if he had a defense like we've been fielding since 2017, that the team wide (W/L) success from 2007-2014 would have been even greater.
We put up 35 on the road against South Carolina in 2014, but still went home with the loss since we gave up 38.
That's just off the top of my head. How many other times did Bobo help light up the scoreboard, only to be let down by the defensive output?

Many, im sure.
Tomorrow morning when I'm back at a computer I'll take a bunch of kratom and post all such instances

Funny how the downvotes didn't find this informative and data driven post. WG from the mf top rope.
The other fun point in Bobo's favor is the talent available to him now vs. from 2007-2014. Don't even need to pull recruiting rankings for all of us to know that. Bobo set records with ~Top 10 talent and weaker LOS players. Let's see what he can do with consensus Top 2 talent and absolute men on the LOS.
