Precisely what I'm afraid is going to happen. Very nervous about this game. UGA PTSD doesn't let me believe we can have nice things.
Exactly. I was wrong as sh*t last week and happy to be wrong, but I've seen this too many times in football in general and with UGA specifically. I still remember Auburn shellacking UGA in Sanford after the Florida game in '97, the Tennessee games in '04, '06 (UT was probably the better team that year but the game started off so well), and '07. Also of note - UGA just hasn't had any luck against the Vols since 2003. Every game has been harder than it should've been - even the wins. Maybe that changes, but I don't have a lot of hope.

This may change my view of the final score. I forgot they won at life.

UGA needs to come out hot like they did last week. A slow start will keep Tennessee in the game but I would still see UGA pulling away late.
So..with that said, I have two predictions:
Hot start:
UGA 38
UT 20
Cold start:
UGA 24
UT 13

Differently. On the heels of that game, UT will be prepped for big plays/gadget type plays early. It was such a momentum shift in the game that even a poorly coached Butch Jones team would be ready for that. Additionally, they've actually been pretty good about limiting big plays (particularly through the air - breakdown in UF game not withstanding). Need to scheme a very run heavy first drive and some simpler play action intermediate routes and methodically drive. We have superior talent and playing solid, mistake free football should be the #1 focus. Certainly scoring early would be great, but I don't think it's as important as it was last week.

I absolutely think we will get Tennessee's best shot. I don't think we're really used to being in a position as a heavy favorite over a conference opponent. I'm just hoping the whole team has the right mental focus coming in.
At the end of the day, I think the team will be motivated as hell to win this one after last year's ending. Our defense is legit. Like the Notre Dame game, it will be a matter of our offense establishing the run and making enough plays through the air.
UGA 24, UT 17

Tennessee isn't nearly as bad as some are acting. Still enough talent there to cause problems. I'll drink the Koolaid if we go up to Knoxville and look dominant early on.

While I think we're a better team, Butch knows this is a must-win game and he's going to pull out all the stops to win it. The games in recent years have been decided by one score. I hope we blow them out but I've got a feeling that it's going to be close.
28-24 good guys.

I can agree with that

Red and black rush for 200+ yards. Dawgs win comfortably.
34-20.
34-20.

Over the last few years, when Butch has really needed a win, he's gotten it. That's a desperate team and a coach who is literally coaching for his job. They are going to absolutely bring it. I think we get out alive, something like 23-20, but won't be easy.
On the flip side, if we get up 14-0 early like last week, Tennessee will fold like a cheap suit.

Butch has already lost that locker room.....his best hope is that the players still care enough to try.

Jeez... The UA game is "forgiveable" but really? 400+ AND 4 TDs on the ground given up to both Mizzou and Kentucky at home...

You nega dawgs must have miserable lives. The past has nothing to do with today's team. Players and coaches improve and they come an go. Kirby is not Richt. Don't be pussies.
Dawgs 31-10
