Mike Griffith and Chip Towers are on par with Alan Judd. frick those nut sucking beat writers. I hope they all get gone.

Fake news ran with fabricated "evidence" and tried to hide by "anonymous sources". They did it with OMB, they're doing it with Georgia Football. Journalism is dead.

Idk what alan judd looks liek but with everythign I read about him my mental image is of the reporter in Season 5 of the wire that does the same thing.

He actually bares a striking resemblance to a more portly Scott Slade on WSB if you’ve ever seen him. 60s. Short white hair in the stereotypical balding pattern. Chubby. Grumpy looking.

I’ll say it again…AJC is actually attacking these young people given a special opportunity to change their lives and covering it with a Kirby and UGA vail.
Yes, Kirby has responsibilities and so does the University. They know this and nothing in the article points factually to something they did wrong. Just innuendo and feelings.
Kirby said it clearly and Griffith attempted to which is the obvious. There are some down stream implications we all knew would come with money into young peoples’ hands (mostly the speeding).
I’ll sit back and see if AJC releases the 11 names and over what period of time that was AND whether UGA actually did anything wrong.

I agree about Judd being fired(and he should be) but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting on a retraction from the AJC. This is the same outlet that never apologized nor retracted the slander against Richard Jewell(RIP).

Question - since the article never said anything about no charges until the very end - making the kid look guilty...and they named a minor, couldn't his lawyer run with that?

Thanks for linking the letter. I printed it off and read it slowly. Very precise, concise and to the point was the letter.
When I first heard of the article being printed I thought it sounded like a lot of half-truths and misleading conclusions.
