He may not work out, but that's an absolute home run hire IMO. Best we could hope for.

Matta is used to getting top 25 in the nation spending support... UGA, isn’t in the top 64... what are we going to doo to close that gap?

Matta's having 2 more interviews this week or UGA is interviewing 2 other candidates?

Hopefully our boosters got a true feel of how pouring money/support into a program with a legitimate coach can create a successful environment. If we bring in Matta and give him the support he needs we can have a very successful basketball program.

It starts with the AD. They need to make the investment and show the commitment ... if they do, the $$$ will flow from the booster/fan base.

His brother coaches at KSU, it's always nice to be close to family.

On the other side of the coin, does he want to come to GA and steal recruits from his brother? Though, UGA really shouldn't be recruiting the same type players as KSU.

We made $3 million off basketball in 16/17 and probably more this year plus the most profitable AD in the SEC.
Yea,boosters should step up but so should Ears McScrooge.

Should've said boosters and AD. Moreso meant that I hope we (as an institution) have realized how talent rich this state is in high school athletes and how successful we can potentially be if we invest in making our programs as attractive as possible to in-state athletes.

What are you talking about? His brother coaches at a Christian School in Kennesaw. I doubt we’ll have to worry about recruiting between the Matta’s

this is like an argument between two jackasses (not you two theoretically) fighting over a single turnip... Who gives a shite... we hire Matta or Crean we’re a top 20 program in 2 years.
