You must be too young to recall the 2000 Outback Bowl. I don’t count my Dawgs out til there is quite literally no statistical possibility of them overcoming the deficit. And even then, I stay to hear the band play.

Young man, I'm probably old enough to be your dad.
Not only am I old enough to remember the 2000 Outback Bowl, I was also in my 30s when the game was played and had 2 kids with a third one a month away from being born.
I watched Ray Goff run the Veer in the mid 70s and saw Herschel run all over Notre Dame 40 years ago.
But....I am also conditioned for disappointment because I saw Dooley's last years and 12 years of purgatory with Goff and Donnan.

Understood. Still, my statement stands. Pull your pants up and grind it out. We Dawgs have seen our share of heartbreak, no doubt. But I know walking off in pitty doesn’t ever result in anything positive. Last time we get to see them play for nine months and if you really did check out, you know now you missed a great ending. Hopefully you only checked out figuratively.
