It's like they think we're the University of Jeworgia...

The SEC just announced each school will receive 20.7 million -- the 289.4 million to 14 schools is most ever.
But dammit if we don't raise $4 million, there is just no way we can give Foley a $10 million renovation (which still seems like it might be low balling it).

I believe the proper term is the Yeshiva of Georgia.

It really bothers you that our coaches and AD have integrity, doesn't it. Bet you wish we were more like Auburn or USCe.

I wish we weren't airing out a sophomore for admitting to smoking a blunt to the media, the first offense he has ever had. If this were a second or third offense, he would be asking for the public humiliation. But it wasn't.
I never said don't punish the kid. But this "one strike and you're out 10% of the season" schtick is nothing more than disciplinary grandstanding that is only hurting the school's image (nobody gives a shite about how strict we are, only that we seem to have a drug and alcohol problem based on our suspensions) and the competitive edge of the other ~84 guys on scholarship.
It's a high road taken simply so the administration can say we took a high road when nobody cares.

Spot on with all of this. Not sure we can back down from the corner that they've painted us into, unfortunately.
And to the Auburn point, they have the same penalties for offenses 2 (50% of the season) and 3 (see yourself out...). It's not like we're saying we should adopt UF's approach... 3rd offense is only 2 games I believe.

Unfortunately our integrity is something that's holding us back. I'm so tired of our only comeback to the fact that we are stuck in mediocrity and haven't won a championship in 30+ years being "well at least we run a tight ship and suspend players for stuff that everybody else ignores". And it doesn't help our image much at all, people outside of UGA just read the headlines of 3 or 4 players being suspended every offseason and we continue to hold the rep of a thug school.

We generally hear that "thug school" crap from places like LSU, Florida, and Crackerlina, the true thug schools in denial.
