Last year, he came back to UGA to help us salvage the season after Fromm left and Newman opted out…and did a damn good job until JT was ready to step in.
Today, all he did was walk onto the field with apparently no reps with the 1’s and went 7 for 8, 260 yds and 5 TDs in the first half.

I know you’re not very bright but nothing about this says “l told you so”. Just the opposite, I posted that we should start Beck. But I can also be impressed with Bennett’s performance.
People shite talking Bennett trying to defend the preference for Beck need to be checked. It’s possible to think the younger guy should play more but also respect the hell out of what Bennett did without talking him down to try and make a point.

How much respect should we have for the fact that a guy who's like an 7th year senior with a zillion years in the program had a great game against a bad team? I mean we can celebrate for a minute or two but as Smart like to say, "You're either elite or you're not."
Most of a game against a cupcake should be played by Beck and Vandagriff, who need reps in real game situations. And the era of even giving scholarships to any QB without NFL measurables and NFL upside needs to be long over at UGA.
If a QB doesn't at least have a chance of playing on Sundays, he shouldn't be playing on Saturdays for UGA.

As much as I would any UGA player that gets called in and puts 5 TDs on the Board in the first half. “Record” means only a few guys have done this….and they played lesser teams too. Or is UAB the worst team ever to play UGA?
Any other QB on the roster does that and I guarantee that you guys would go back to the “UAB defense is legit” narrative that we heard all week and would be singing about how awesome the performance was.

Yeah. Winning on Saturdays is what’s important.
Why does Bennett having a good day cause you to want to downplay his performance? Why does it bother you when we give him props?

Unlike most of this board,I predicted a defensive struggle vs Clemson and a 30+ point victory yesterday although I tempered it a bit once I found out Bennett was starting.
I'm usually more right than wrong when it comes to my predictions/evaluations.
ETA I do apologize for the shite post though...was into the cups a little heavy last nt.
