I can't wait to hear what all went down. There is no way all that Kirby shite was brought up without there being something to it. I figured if we didn't get Smart that we'd just see Pruitt get a big raise and we'd go Pendergast or someone.

Seriously. I'll eat some crow for doubting the admin taking the team seriously, these guys did a damn fine job. Going after Kirby and Pruitt. Processing Grantham? This is not the Georgia I expected to see.

I like this.

You guys that are questioning the money that he will be getting; you cannot discount how multi-year deals play into assistant coaches decisions to move. He was on a 1 year deal at FSU, he is most assuredly going to get a multi-year deal in Athens.

This is a HUGE gamble IMO! How can we take this guy for less than what CTG is making now and a 1st year DC? He took over a team loaded with talent and really couldn't mess up. I know he won a NC, but they had the best O in the country and statistically regressed on defense. IDK fellas this doesn't sound like a smart move.

The 2 deep on that roster was made up of almost all former 5 stars. Just saying

He had to replace a ton of talent on that defense though.

I know what you mean.. especially when CMR assured us there will be no staff changes weeks ago for the sake of continuity. Evil Richt is back baby!!~~

The AD finally saw how crucial this hire was, and they knocked it out in a hurry. A+

I hope he handled it up-front without stringing anyone along. For all we know he could've declined the offer immediately but it was kept quiet.

Told from Georgia source team already impressed with Pruitt's extensive knowledge of Georgia's 2014 recruiting base and big board.

Don't know if it's been said but this deal makes total sense for Pruitt, even without a HUGE pay increase. Only way to go at FSU (had he stayed) was down, or even at best. The pump appears to be primed at UGA - no where to go but up. His stay in Athens will likely be brief, but hopefully productive.
