Gentry stated that he is emerging due to a close friendship with Will Friend and the fact that UGA is already set up for the 3-4. Richt would offer a substantial raise from his base salary of $500K as well. Good candidate.

Could very well be true. All 247 said is that Pruitt is a candidate, not necessarily the leading candidate

That doesn't mean anything..hell everyone is a candidate. Pruitt is #2 on the Rivals site hotboard, but that doesnt' necessarily tell us anything in the way of mutual interest.

I definitely think that bringing Smart/Cochran on board would totally revitalize the defense. Not to mention - It might put us back in the hunt for someone like Christian Miller/ Rashaan Evans.
