Don't forget them blaring rocky top while nick Chubbs knee was twisted. They cheered and laughed and sang with each other while it took the cart way too long to get over to him. Then for months after it you couldn't get anywhere on the board without someone saying "Dobbs just scored again".
Show them no mercy, for you shall receive none.

Yep, screw em.
Them begging for daddy to whip them earlier so they could can Butch just made me enjoy their misery and 41-0 a little more. Now they're on option 17 on the coaching search.

I'm torn still...
If Georgia Tech had beaten them then it would have made this Tennessee team the ultimate of ultimate laughing stocks, but then that would have made the Nerds bowl eligible at 6-5.

You young guys don't remember being owned by them from the late 80's until the Hobnail Boot but it sucked bad.
I'm personally loving the shitshow. It's hilarious.

Jimbo stopped the streak the year before. Of course, the hedges were trampled that evening so I suppose it was more of a pyrrhic victory.

I remember it well.

Was down by the hedges at that game and didn't realize what was coming... Basically was shoved over the fence and hedges by the mob of people that congregated behind me. Almost left with a UT helmet that night though. Trooper on the sidelines gave me the look... 'put it down and go home kid'

I think UT will swallow hard and ask Kiffen to come back. This is not going to end well for the Big Orange...

Why doesn't Peyton just do it at this point? Sure he's got no coaching experience, but it's too late to be nit picky about minor details. Plus he could surround himself with good coordinators and probably recruit well.

Fat Phil is the one who cursed the earth on The Hill when he got fired. He's the only one who can lift his voodoo.

The better question is honestly "why *would* he?"
Right now, his legacy is that of an unblemished, perfect diamond. He can do no wrong as far as the UT fanbase is concerned. Taking that job changes everything.
He's said as much more or less. Would only be interested in taking on a role as either consultant or at most like a QB coach to start... he hasn't shot down the idea of becoming a HC at some point in the future, but I think he would prefer to be less in the spotlight there and keep things focused on what he *did* there.

This. Peyton would be wise to no jump in the dumpster fire.

A helmet would have been sweet. I just found a wallet and cell phone on the field.

A friend of mine has a piece of the goal post. We took it to ND for good luck.

If they get Leach, Ill be pissed
Not only do I love that bastard, he would kill it in Knoxville.

I want him at Arkansas terrorizing SEC West defenses... they are also a quirky enough fan base I feel like to appreciate the glory that is Leach. UT fans just won't "get" him IMO.
Not worried that he'd "kill it" there, but he would become the polar opposite of GT... the team that you have to 100% prepare for completely different than the majority of teams on your schedule.

Meh Leach isn't all that. Let the recruits moms see a video of him calling his players mother fckrs on top of locking them in a shed

The problem is that Leach won't solve our historical trouble of losing lanky WRs to that God-forsaken hole of a school. Air Raid in the SECe could be a thorn in our side.

Their fan base is why that place has turned into such a dump. Can’t believe they let the fans decide what direction they will go.
