I mean I’m not sure who the running back coach version of Brian Hartline is. If the guy can recruit and emphasizes pass blocking and ball security we’ll be fine. I think rb is one position where you can only explain or teach so much and the rest is up to the natural ability of the players.

Deep roots in state. Apparently has coached at Colquitt, GAC, Jefferson, and Valdosta high schools. Young, hungry up-and-comer. Sounds good to me.

Precisely. The man has earned the benefit of the doubt, IMO.

Would have preferred Jimmy Smith but this is a very good hire.

On the surface I'm liking how he has a lot of South Georgia ties. We've been too soft in south Georgia in the last few recruiting cycles and Florida State is getting really annoying on the recruiting trail.

Has Kirby made a bad hire? Promoting Coley to OC was a mistake but I can't think of a bad hire

I think Hankton and Beamer were bad hires.

Tracy Rocker was a bad retention.

Both recruited well. What was so bad about Beamer?

I think that is debatable.

In the end... both got run off. Beamer was for recruiting. Hankton for inappropriate behavior. And his recruiting fell short in my opinion.
