I don't own a (performace) pink polo, so i'm out. Great gesture, and i'll be cheering it on though.

If you can’t wear a pink shirt, wear a ribbon.

I went to a store and got one. Took 15 minutes and $20.

Bet you 95% of the Stadium will have pink....whether it be shirts, shorts, hats, ribbons, etc. I’m sure groups will be handing out free ribbons or hats too. We don’t half-arse these types of things.

at minimum the school should have tons of stands selling $5 pink tshirts inside and outside of the stadium. they can even say proceeds go to fighting cancer. win win

no excuse for this not to be a pink out

Think it would be a ballin' arse move if we actually played in Pink. Replace the red stripe on the silver britches and the jersey with a pink one. Would be a total surprise but also incredibly badass.

Probably have a pink ribbon sticker on helmets or on jerseys.

I've talked to a few people going to the game and they were like I don't have any Georgia gear that's pink. This is a once in a while game where we can send a great message, wear pink and cheer loud. How awesome would it be to get a chant going much like the end of Rudy but chant Wendy!

Take one of your white ones and wash it with a brand new red cotton one. Viola.

I just think this is too good an opportunity to 1) do good by raising awareness and honoring a woman’s life / husbands plight but also selfishly 2) get GREAT publicity.

Whatever the reason the school has got to be prepared to not let this fail. Pass out pink shakers if they can get them on time, do a ribbon, print a shitload of shirts. Can’t tell me the cost of that isn’t gonna bring better results than another billboard or some shite.

I fear too many bubbas are going to not have pink and say frick it and you’ll see just spots of pink. It’s fine when it’s just a social media campaign but it’s now getting national attention so whiffing here wouldn’t be great. Not devastating but would be nice if the program seized the opportunity.

Just wash old stuff with a little bit of bleach. Problem solved.

Not really sure that the last two goatherds in Mongolia who don't know about breast cancer will be tuning in to the UGA/Ark. St. football game, but ok.

Then pick your narrative, that’s not my point.

I have no problem paying respect to the lady. It's a nice gesture to an opponent and reminds people that sports are supposed to be a pleasant diversion from how hard life can be.

However, "raising awareness" - unless done about something that people really don't know about - is just mindless drivel. It's doing nothing in the guise of doing something. People everywhere are aware of cancer in general, breast cancer in particular, and they're aware that it's not a good thing.

If we, as a school, really wanted to do something substantive, donate a portion of ticket sales, or concessions, or merchandise sales, or even have a fund raiser for a hospital/cancer foundation, etc.
