This is a higher QBR than Beck had against any opponent in 2 years with UGA.

Obviously, this is another metric that doesn't tell the entire story, but it's still very interesting.

Stats are a funny thing. Stet basically pegged QBR almost weekly and fans were still bitching.

That’s what happens when you check to the open guy and don’t take many shots down field.

I think that's what a good QB is supposed to do.

Having a dual threat QB makes all the difference in the world. It's that simple.

Well, that's because he was too short to be a good QB.

Pretty sure no one bitched about Stetsons play on this board in ‘22.

Gunner is a dual threat because he's not afraid to run and teams have to respect that. It's a definite advantage, but I don't think the plan is to have him run that much (10 rushes, 73 yds) against better competition. I'm on record saying that Kirby doesn't want to use his QB like GT has been using Haynes King, who rushed 11 times a game last year. We'll see if I'm wrong about that.

I did see one QB last week that I would run that many or more times a game, and that's Castellanos at FSU. He's a slasher, more effective runner than he is a passer IMO. If he stays healthy they might do some damage in the ACC because a qb who can run like that loosens up pass defenses.
