Some other uniform changes we've made recently

With the news about the all white unis it got me reminiscing about some other different combinations we've worn this century. There are plenty more examples of switching things up a bit prior to these so it's not a comprehensive list, this is just as far back as I felt like going.
1997 season vs Wisconsin - Black pants/white tops
1998 vs Florida- Black pants/red tops
1999 vs LSU and 2000 vs tech - White pants
2007 Auburn, 2007 Hawaii, 2008 bama, 2016 ULL - Old school black jersey
2009 vs Florida- black pants and helmet
2011 vs Boise - Abomination
2020 Arkansas - Red pants throwback
2020 MSU and Cincy - modern day black jersey

My vote would be to wear red pants in the first road game of every season. It's a good look and it could also be a permanent tribute to the 1980 team.

I remember the rumor mill around this one was that the original plan was to wear all black (black helmets, black jerseys, black pants) against Florida in 08, but the Alabama game happened and those plans were scrapped with a vengeance.
Then the team was stuck with these helmets and pants that they had already paid for and figured “screw it” and just wore them with the white jerseys in the 09 Florida game.
Don’t know if it’s true, but the logic tracks considering the blackout stuff was at peak popularity after the 07 season.
Also, as much as I hated the black-white-black look, I think the all-black look would’ve actually looked worse lol

News flash, Uniform choice has nothing to do with play on field. That Bam team was just way better all the way around, that said, they did make an enormous comeback... The actual difference was CMR vs Goat Saban.... Goat goated...

They ate our lunch on the lines of scrimmage. It wouldn't have mattered if they wore pink jerseys with rainbow flag logos and we wore our traditional red jerseys that night.
