as did Herrien. With Swift and Carter on the way as well as some WR stars, the future still looks pretty good to me.

Can't be true. They're part of the empty Richt cupboard.

Yeah they looked real quick hitting the hole and gained yards after contact. I don't feel Chubb and Michel is not even 80 percent ready right now. Both seems real slow at this point.

Good God I caught some shite got saying Chubb looked slow after the North Carolina game. Now it's like the cool thing to say in here.

All things being equal, I'm likely to give Chubb the benefit of the doubt and err towards pointing the finger at a suspect OL. I think Herrien looked great (who's on campus no help from the prior regime. No one thought he'd be able to make the grades), and Holyfield is promising, too.

If we can patch the holes in the OL, any RB who wears the G will look like they've taken a quantum leap forward.

Not entirely true. Just because nobody thought he would make the grades, doesn't mean Richt didn't recruit him. However, Smart finished the recruitment off, so I would say both deserve credit.

That said (And I am not talking about you, Vox) I wish both sides of the Pro-Richt and Anti-Richt groups could just let it go. He is gone. He is not coming back. Smart will need time to grow and develop.

We sound like a bunch of guys who broke up with their girlfriends. One side moans and groans about what he had and wishes he never broke up with her....and the other side wouldn't say a good thing about her if a gun were put to his head.

I agree but Kirby still has to find a kicker this year. Ham and Blankenship suck. He needs to hit some soccer games and grab someone fast. His recruiting will get the ship turned around.

Michel hasn't looked slow. Chubb has, but Michel has looked good which is why he must be still somewhat injured since he isn't playing as much as he should.

We're recruiting as well on the o-line as we have in a long, long time.

I saw a stat that said we have only had 1 OL in the Rivals top100 over the past 12 years(Theus). OL recruiting has been abysmal. Looks like Pittman is after the big boys and wants to change that.
