No disrespect to the guy, but I honestly forgot he was still on the team.

I imagine the survivors of the 2013 class is down to somewhere around 5 players now.

It's a shame this couldn't have happened in time to keep Toneil Carter. Maybe the coaches know something we don't about another recruit in a position of need.

idk if it would have mattered. Not only did we have 4 less schollys than we thought but there is extremely minimal RB PT this year...I kinda took that to mean we'd only take 1 RB in this class and we chose swift.

TC got caught in a musical chairs game. With Chubb & Michel returning, we got too many stallions in the stable at RB. Gotta save those schollys for positions in need, like K.

So, is this processing or attrition? I get confused.

I agree. I think the knee-jerk desire to hoard RBs is a function of 2014-15's injuries and how much that fricked with our roster and psyche, but it could have just as easily been MLBs or another position.

This won't open up an EE for this class. It would have no impact on TC. We would 100% still get TC if we had an EE spot for him or if he wanted to come in June.

"Processed" is probably the right term here, especially since it was an academic reason he's leaving. Wish him the best.

I don't think he was trimmed. CKS said his offer was still there...guess he just couldn't come early.

It's hard to tell. If the kid was busting his arse and making grades. - but you push him out to make room then that's process. If he was half assing and wouldn't see the field then I don't have a problem telling him he'd be better off somewhere else. I don't like the idea of doing the former ... but am okay with the latter.

Do we know exactly what this kids situation was?

No we didn't. He decided he wanted to come in January and we can't give up an EE, he is 100% welcome to come in June...100%!!!!
