With his size, I really thought he would be a significant contributor. Does anybody have any inside knowledge of how he’s doing or do you think he will ever see the field?

I think we honestly just have better players and are bringing in better recruits than Madden is/was. He might have competed for a starting spot next year if we wouldn’t have made OL a priority. But in all likelihood we’ll have 4 top 100 recruits competing for our two starting guard spots along with Baker and Kindley.

And it’s not like we don’t have size. Cleveland, Baker, and Kindley (guys who’ve started at G this year) are massive.

How much does Baker weigh? Most profile pages have him 290-300 but that may have been his weight when he first arrived on campus.

Always heard he has had major troubles with weight and learning the playbook.

Is that a testament to the raw talent that's in the 2017/18 guys, or is it something else?

Just read some old articles on him. He's dealing with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Tourette’s syndrome and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). That's a lot to deal with.

Do yall not remember a few years ago when we at UGA had the biggest Oline in all of football? That didn't prove to be our strong point on that team. So just having size, don't mean squat. Look at our LT and he is only 6'2, so obviously size isn't everything. Plus wasn't Madden like a 3* at best?

With S&C and coaching they dominate though.

He's a hell of a ballplayer

Yeah. That's around the average ranking for a lineman in Richt's tenure.

He can't focus enough to yell "frick" exactly three times at inopportune moments?

So when we had the biggest oline in all of football, we didn't have a S&C program then? That just doesn't sound right for a top flight program in the nation, to not have a S&C.

The problem with Richts team, is that he seemed to recruit more highly rated prospects at the skill positions rather than in the trenches, especially Oline.

Again, just having size don't mean shite, as proven by that team. I Wynn is a great example of size being overrated some. I'd rather take someone with quick feet, good strength and can use leverage on Oline rather than just some 6'8 350lb dude who is just big. Look at last year with Rhode Island at LT. IF we go by what some of these UGA fans that think size is everything for an Oline, then why did Rhode Island get his shite pushed in, whereas the littler guy in I Wynn is doing a great job this year, and much better than what Tyler C did last year?

Yes having good size on the Oline is GREAT, but lets not act like just because someone is big, like Madden or Rhode Island, doesn't mean that they will be good.

Plus I would rather get guys like I Wynn and A Thomas on the oline. That is guys who may not be the tallest (6'2" and 6'5" respectively), but they have excellent arm length for their height and have quick feet. To me, that is more important than putting a guy out there like Madden, who is mainly just big.

Yeah..... It sucked.
