This guy reminds me of Hines Ward. He’s got solid hands. Physical. He’s gonna make a lot of
Money at the next level

He runs good patterns and catches what's thrown his way. He's been good since he's been here.

So many players have grown up big time this year on offense. Lots of talk of Ladd being out this week and Brock being ginger on his ankle. Doesn’t even matter.

Watch him get drafted. The NFL seems to love Georgia guys.

MRJS has highlight catch capability even though that's not necessary at UGA, and he's a strong, super physical blocker who loves to play special teams.

He's got an NFL career in front of him, and I'm certainly rooting for him.

If it wasn’t for that freak leg break against UF in 2020, who knows what he could have been? Not sure he ever got back to that pre-injury level. That said, he’s super valuable so he may not have stayed this long if he hadn’t gotten injured. Might already be in the league.

Worst touchdown in Georgia history. Stetson Bennett plays the air guitar before realizing his shoulder is fricked up, while the receiver who caught the ball is lying in the end zone with a foot hanging off the bone

We knew what we were getting and he understood the assignment.

247sports
Has average to above-average height and length. Relatively filled out with good weight and possesses big hands. Tests as a good athlete with short-area quickness and explosion. Plays for one of the nation’s top high school programs, and sees top competition on a weekly basis. Has a refined skill set at receiver. Is an adept route-runner with the ability to create some shake at the top of his routes. Owns high-level ball skills winning in contested situations with consistency. Attacks the ball at the highest point and comes down with the ball in traffic in both game and camp settings. Lacks an elite top gear as a downfield threat and doesn’t pick up a ton of yards after the catch, but is among the cycles best receivers from a possession perspective. Projects as a multi-year impact target at the Power 5 level with the ability to develop into an early round draft pick.

Yeah. It's annoying. If you're going to lose, at least grow the local fan base by drafting players they already support.

It's fricking malpractice.

Can you imagine how many more Ga fans would be interested in the Falcons if the had the UGA players from Philadelphia’s roster?

I hate this argument.

The Saints don't draft LSU players. The Packers don't draft Wisconsin players. The Steelers (Pickett and Freiermuth aside) don't draft Penn St/Pitt players and their attendance is just fine.

Draft the right players. This manifest destiny bullshite that the falcons should draft UGA players b/c it would draw more UGA fans is silly at best and arrogant at worst.

The Falcons don't draft well. We know this.

The problem is Blank. He needs to sell the team. He has no idea what he's doing and he's been a bad owner for a decade.

I was offered free tickets on Sunday and turned it down, but if they had some home-town guys on roster I'd absolutely go.

The best thing they can do for the team and the business is find a way to draft Carson Beck.

He was a bad owner when he fired Dan Reeves.
Honestly.

It is neither silly or arrogant. It is fact. It is not even a stretch.

It’s overblown even worse this year with the Jalen Carter situation. I wasn’t mad when they didn’t take him this year, even though they could absolutely have used DL help. I got it. It seemed risky to them. Whatever. Good for JC because he ended up in a superior situation. But I thought it was insane when they passed on Nakobe for a converted QB from D2 at linebacker. Then they drafted Justin Schaffer just to appease the UGA crowd who could have told you that he spent most of his career in Athens flopping around like a fish. And like 10 picks after Schaffer, there goes Salyer to the Chargers and when the LT went down in week 5 or something last year, he got credited with coming in and saving their offensive line. All the while the Falcons trot out their pathetic offensive line

And yet the Eagles are a beast with a ton of Georgia players. It’s almost like - good players from the best college can help you win.

Instead the Falcons draft - Calvin Ridley, Kyle Pitts, Drake London and Bijan Robinson only to produce a shitty offense. Not only do they have no clue what they are doing but they have tripled down on it. I’m not saying they should just draft UGA players but they have probably the worst draft strategy in the league. They are amateur hour execs. Bijan is a good player and he basically splits time with Allgier because the coaches are just as bad as the execs- same with Pitts basically getting out touched by Smith at TE. So bad

I just learned that he was adopted by his youth football coach, and that's how he got the Jacksaint. He really had it hard growing up. Hearing his story just made appreciate what he has done even more.
