It was around $2.90 on election day 2024.

And it was around $2.40 January 2026.

The cost of regular gas has been consistent over the past 6 years.

Diesel is a completely different story.

US Core Inflation rate

You can toggle from the 1 yr chart to 10 yr to see the trend/transition.

If not for the Iran war, these races would be much better for Republicans.

It is apparent that the average voter doesn't have a clue about why Iran needed to be dealt with.

Meanwhile, the Democrats have no plans to reduce inflation which currently isn't anywhere near as bad as it was under Biden.

Gridlock and banter for the next two years.

I'm just glad that very little of this affects me.

And what does, Trump will more than likely veto.

This means that Georgia is less likely to get rid of the state income tax in the next 10 years.

State tax surplus checks are probably gone.

And they are probably spent on welfare programs which get added to their annual budget and become very difficult to ever reduce/remove. It is difficult to even freeze welfare benefits.

Objectively false, Biden had inflation on a downward trend at the end of his term. It has since gone up under Trump
LINK

The inflation spike under Biden was due to a number of outside factors many of which had nothing to due with Biden. We see this in the spike of global inflation which happened after COVID ended which falls in line with what happened in the US

You seem to have no clue about that situation, there's a reason why Joe Kent resigned after Trump started the war

Yeah it looked consistent until late March where you see that massive spike right around the same time we attacked Iran

You avoided the 6 year trend.

Do you care to explain why?

Joe Kent is not the definition of a rational decision-maker.
He has changed opinions more times than Biden changes diapers.
Registered libertarian. Then registered democrat. Then registered republican. Loves nick fuentes. Than hates nick fuentes.

That said, the bombing of Iran is about the development of their ballistic missile program.

They had enriched uranium for years. But they were working on the delivery mechanism.

Trump preemptively attempted to destroy both programs before they were conjoined.

Of course

Iran was no threat to us and was never going to attack us. Trump started a war because Israel told him to

Huh?

The average in November 2021 was 3.39. And to be fair, let’s say all cars have 12 galleons to fill up. And let’s say you need to fill up 3 times a month.

So in 2021, that’s $114 a month.

With the same variables, you are spending $149 a month.

That’s a 23% increase.

Iran has been attacking the US for 50 years.

I do not understand this notion that they changed at any point in the last 50 years. That the attacks on our ships and our bases don't matter. That their death to america chants are some form of peaceful protests that we are not supposed to hear.

Average gas price jan 2021 to jan 2025 is $3.45.

Average price jan 2025 to October 2026 is $3.55.

Cumulative inflation is 24% over that time.
Gas is cheaper today adjusted for inflation.
But even if it wasn't cheaper, it is stagnant. It isnt measurable worse.

I like how our incoming ag commissioner says she is going to make UGA and Fort Valley State into coequal partners in research and extension… why FVSU and not ABAC? Hmmmm i wonder? Btw neither would hold a candle to UGA C.A.E.S.
