It ain’t Frazier. Phillips was killing them. Kid is being under used. Don’t understand straying away from the hot hand.

I don't know what the answer is, but the question is how many carries can you give a 180 pound running back.

He had 17 last week. He should’ve had 20 today.

The softening process has to include between the tackle runs.... it's kind of like the veer, the threat of the dive play makes the sweep work. Here the safety and lbers have to hang for a split second to make sure we aren't going to run before they can play the pass.

Where was Chris Peal yesterday? Didn’t see him get any playing time, Bo Walker wasn’t used much at all either. Only remember him having one carry in the second half. Phillips speed makes him a threat, but we have to use him selectively, he can’t hold up to the pounding of being RB1.

James Cook is handling the workload just fine in the NFL

That's a solid comp, but James Cook is way thicker and sturdier these days than he was in college.

This...100%. And, all three main RB's have been injured each year they've been playing at UGA. Bowens (if I heard correctly) is done for the season, Frazier isn't right, and Phillips is banged up too. Gotta get Bo a littler more PT. Hell, he never touched the ball against Auburn. Why???

It's a curious trend. Seems like UGA's RB are always banged up going all the way back to Gurley.

we rotate backs a ton more than many other schools. More touches = more opportunities to get hurt.

That's not how it works. Yes, we rotate a lot, but that means less touches per player, not more. Frazier is only getting 7 carries per game and Phillips is getting 6. Bowens was getting 7 per game also before getting injured.

Meanwhile Roberts at Mizzou is getting 23 per game, and Bishop at Tenn and Baugh at fla are both getting 19 per game.

So why do we keep having RB injuries virtually every year?

Frazier had a 320 pound offensive lineman drive a 200 pound safety into the ribs. 500 pounds with force.

You probably didnt mean for an explanation of each injury.
But it is football.
If you aren't injured, you are hurt.

My point is, despite getting relatively few carries per game our RBs are always banged up. Going back to the Gurley days, we seem to be cursed in RB health. 10-12 touches per game is about the max any UGA RB ever gets. 7-8 is the norm.
