LINK

Eason with 1st team reps, and Lambert with 2nd team.

RIP Brice Ramsey's QB ambitions.

Pretty much looks that way. Is there a scrimmage tomorrow?

I almost feel bad for Ramsey but if he was deserving of being a starter he would have earned it by now.

At the bottom of the article, it also says...

How much are we paying Frank Stein, btw?

Yup... Lotta chatter (not really reliable I might add) on social media sights that Eason is the man. I'm excited and cautiously optimistic...

I hate it for Ramsey if true but he had more chances than anyone to win that job.

Of all the shite UGA fans have endured I don't think watching our phenom freshman QB struggle with growing pains will be that bad.

Eason took five reps, completing all five passes to running backs Nick Chubb and Elijah Holyfield, wide receiver Michael Chigbu, a deep ball to wide receiver Jayson Stanley (on a ball that hung up but Stanley still managed to snag) and to tight end Isaac Nauta.

Looks like Eason has the chance between now and Monday to win or lose the starting position. Monday they will begin installing the game plan and the QB will be decided. I think Eason will start.

It has been Eason's to lose since January.

I also think Chubb's recovery has alot to do with this.

Coaches willing to take more of a chance at QB with Chubb in the backfield.

It also tells me the coaches think the OL is doing very well.

If the coaches had alot of concerns about the OL and Chubb, no way they start a true freshman at QB.

But what do I know.

Apparently there was a coaches meeting today and Eason is starting. FWIW

Yep, as long as Eason doesn't do something to lose it in the next few days then the starting job is his.

Too funny. If Richt was pulling this transparent obvious geekery, there’d be 15 threads seeing right through it, but whatever.

Kirby wants north Carolina to think he’s starting a freshman QB. Nothing more nothing less. Lambert will start.

I like Kirby, but this actually feels like something a first year coach would think was diabolical. If this was five years from now, he’d be laughing at the new guy trying to bluff this shite hand.

Fact - there's no game tape for Chizik to study on Eason.

Fact - Chizik is scared to death of giving up bowl game-type numbers to Chubb on the ground.

Fact - Most of Chubb's yards seem to come after contact, anyway.

Fact - Because of this, UNC will sell out to attempt to stop the run, and will be subject to being carved up through the air.

NC won't prepare any differently in either scenario.

Blitz on 3rd and long
Fake blitz on 3rd and long
Prevent on 3rd and long
Zone coverage
Man coverage
Tackle the running back (whether it is chubb, sony, holy, etc)

There is no chess game going on here between UGA and NC.

What is apparent is that the very few and precious snaps with the 1's are going to Eason right now.

I think that's alot more tangible than whatever mindgames Kirby might be playing with NC.

But again, what do I know.
