Stetson Bennett IV had the team leading last year in Tuscaloosa for 47 minutes. It was that last 13 where the wheels fell off.

I think you’re way off here. Coaches have been marveling at his football IQ since he was in 6th grade, and his ability to break down defensive schemes, player positioning, etc. If SB was equal to him in that regard, with his physical skills, he’d have played earlier and been more sought after.

Still wrong. As soon as he’s better, he’s the starter.

Let's say he's 100% good to go today. Do you actually try to bring him back as a starter on the road in an actual hostile loud environment? After not playing and not having meaningful practice reps for several weeks, wouldn't you at least work him back in if you get some garbage time first?

Absolutely, 100% yes. He’s our best QB, he’s the starter, he has the most confidence of the coaches. He’s ready, he starts.

Being rusty, you know he'll struggle, right?

Also, what do you say to QB2? Sorry kid, you've played lights out, can't ask more than what you've already done, but we just need you to sit down now and let this one-and-done guy finish out the season now that is shoulder is feeling better.

Then what does the locker room think? Drama drama drama, distractions, etc?

There's more to it than playing Coach Mode on Madden.

Atta boy, QB2. You did your job and were a good team mate. Now, go cheer on QB1.

Let’s go kick our next opponent’s arse.

If both are healthy and ready to go Kirby will probably play the one who had the best practice. Coach has great confidence in both but, more importantly, he has great confidence in his defense. It don't matter who starts.

Rusty-

Hasn't played in 5 weeks.

Hasn't repped with 1's in practice for five weeks.

Hasn't played in a loud opponent's stadium since 2020.

I apologize, I thought he played vs Vanderbilt and had his team up 35-0 with 3:00 left in the FIRST QUARTER!!

Seriously dude. He’s made for that type of environment.

Precisely. Bennett will never be QB1 if Daniels is healthy. He knows it, the coaches know it. There are multiple reasons why one will be a high draft pick and the other will be going on to sell insurance or coaching high school football in South Georgia.

Selling insurance has to be both easier and more lucrative than trying to teach penguins to play football.

Who has played in a loud opponent's stadium this year? Certainly wasn't Stet. Does the first game count? And who played in that?
