Looks like it’s over now. Any news?

Lack of leadership on O is worrying. Hopefully that changes soon.

We didn’t have O leadership last year, that was the main problem.
Fromm and Swift were worried too much about their draft stock.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart, speaking to reporters after the 2½-hour session said that freshman Carson Beck went with the No. 2 offense, and Stetson Bennett stayed mostly with the third group. Daniels, an over-the-summer transfer from USC, also worked some with the first unit the previous Saturday. The 6-foot-6, 205-pound Mathis, about 16 months away from brain surgery to remove a cyst, is the new face with the No. 1 group.

You need a disclaimer when linking to chip towers, please.
As I understand it, the second scrimmage was always the plan to work Mathis with the ones.

Agreed... but he does appear to be the guy who got “it” from the beginning and gets it now. Gonna be interesting how we utilize his strengths. This comes down to Monken IMO.

Side note/ question: What is Chip’s deal with Kirby? I didn’t find him quite as obnoxious or critical with Richt?
Personally, I just assumed Richt had been more open which Chip appreciated and maybe Kirby was a little more hush hush on things and not quite as willing to entertain every question. But that’s just my personal speculation

Best I can remember, Kirby was pissed that Chip leaked info about Kirby going after Cochran the first time and that was one of the things that kept it from happening then. Kirby started shunning Chip a bit and not letting him join in all the reindeer games, so Chip has been a little bitchy towards Kirby since then. That’s probably not exactly right and there may be more/less or just different info to the real story, but that’s all I can remember.

If chip leaks things that hurt our program, chip can go frick himself

Sorry didn't get that impression with either especially Swift...thought he was pretty ballsy to suit up for the SECCG.

I feel like every time I read an AJC article it takes a shot at UGA and how hard it is to get info.
Posted on 9/7/20 at 2:37 am to Porter Osborne Jr
All this started when the UGA athletic department put in a more stringent rule saying they would require a freedom of information submission for all information when Kirby arrived. That gives the school well the ability to delay information over a month if they wish. I can’t remember the exact number off the top of my head.
Anyways, that pushed off most Georgia media and they still haven’t gotten over it.

If this is true, then Chip loses. Kirby does not need Chip to do his job, but Chip needs Kirby to do his job.

And theres's still more people than ever that cover the team. Between podcasts, talk radio and twitter along with print media, there must be 20+ folks who cover UGA on a semi daily basis.
20+ years ago there was maybe 3 or 4.

I haven’t paid for that paper in decades. I do read their free articles online though.

No problem with you doing that, obviously. I just can't imagine why anyone would do that.
That said, here is my reasoning. I am conservative. I want my news to be news and not opinion. I want facts and not a slanted story full of opinions.
However, it is almost impossible these days to get any kind of news that promotes facts over a political agenda. Therefore, if I have to get my news with a political agenda, I will get it from a source that more closely agrees with my point of view. By clicking on a news source that goes away from my point of view I am supporting them in ad revenue as it is based upon the number of clicks on their articles.
Again, if you are left leaning and they support your world view then go for it as is your right. I just choose not to support an entity that is actively trying to stamp out my world view and values.
Again...not everybody has the same worldview or values that have and that's okay. I have no problem with left leaning people as long as they don't actively try to silence my views and beliefs. (not making a judgement on whether you are conservative or liberal, merely stating my stance)

Watch the GT game again, he was done with the season.
Yea, real hard to suit up a month after an injury, he wasn’t playing to protect himself for the draft.
